If you have never stayed in a budget hotel in an old European city center, you might be be surprised at the small size and simplicity of the room (and elevator).
If, however, you are an experienced traveler in Europe and stay in budget hotels, I think you will be delighted. The location is excellent, just 2.5 blocks away from a main main metro stop and in the middle of Nyhavn. I found no problems with cleanliness. Rooms are basic and small, but clean, and the washroom was shockingly spacious and bright compared to the small and dark room. There are plenty of outlets to use or charge your devices.
Simple bed, and no distractions to keep you in your room - you are staying in a budget hotel to be out and see Copenhagen, not sit in a hotel room!
The ground floor lounge is tasteful and welcoming featuring a small, but relatively well executed menu, comfortable seating, and a large TV. The staff does double duty working the lounge and the desk, so if you need assistance, you might need to walk into the lounge or kindly ding the bell at the desk.
Most gratefully, I arrived on a very rainy day earlier than the check-in time. I noticed others had as well, and the hotel was most accommodating in early check-in provided the room was ready and they were happy to keep luggage behind the front desk until it was.
