We very much enjoyed this small, quirky hotel that kind of combines hotel (your own room and bath) with Air B’nB, by which I mean many common spaces. We were just two people, but I can imagine a bigger group would really appreciate the many gathering spaces. They’ve had fun decorating this former convent. Enjoy!
The property is very well done. The common areas made for a relaxing atmosphere. We really liked our suite. My only criticism is our suite had no closet. We did not have a place to hang our clothes. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay.
The place is full of eye candy inside and out with attention to detail. A lot of thought and design in each room. Very comfortable and clean. Huge beautiful bathrooms. We were there on a Wednesday night in September, so only people there; a little weird with self check in and being in this giant house alone. Although the self check-in was really easy and well managed.
Parking was across street up a staircase, so drop bags first.
Nice little boutique hotel with unique flare. I think it was converted from a convent. Safe and quiet. Updated with higher end finishes. Virtual check-in that was user friendly, but no onsite staff if you have any questions about stuff to do or places for food, but that’s what the internet is for. Access to a full kitchen’s living room, dining areas if you need space beyond your room.
The room was actually gorgeous! Except for mult dead flies in the floor and spiders the size of golf balls. The tv had 4 remotes with no instructions. Not the best part of town but felt safe , really a surprise inside.
very clean and beautiful
Super clean room. Really cool alternative to a “regular” hotel. Great communication from host. Cool artwork throughout the building. Had a great stay and would highly recommend.

Everything was wonderful. A hidden gem. Clean, spacious, house to yourself. Like an Airbnb but without the owners there. Was really nice. Would go again. The fireplace could have came with instructions. That’s my only feedback.
Excellent property! For the value the room was amazing. We were in the 70s suite which had an extremely comfortable bed, great bathroom, and record player. So pleasantly surprised would definitely stay again!

Very clean and gorgeous room. However, there was no hot water in the shower and the TV was not working.
This was very clean, and upscale place. Nothing like you will find anywhere else.
The parking was a little difficult to get to from motel, but plenty of spots. One small thing, in the Royal Chamber in the basement there wasn’t any mirror in the bathroom. I thought that was odd. Other than that, it was amazing!
First off the place was located in the worst part of the town. Dilapidated run down and seemingly unsafe. I went to the door and there was no way to enter the building as you needed a code to get in the door. I didn’t stay there because it was unsafe and scary
Wonderful new establishment with themed rooms. Owner was quick to solve a problem. Would definitely recommend. One thing to note is that hot water comes out yellow due to age of pipes.
The property inside is beautiful! Outside was okay. Parking is very convenient.
The kitchen had everything; plates, glasses, microwave, coffee and more. The porch and indoor common areas were pretty nice. The room (Art Deco) was very nice and clean. Our favorite thing was the shower. The two negative things were, first, the bed - squeaky and not very comfortable (need new mattresses) - we heard the couple above us having fun in the middle of the night; and secondly the lack of blinds.
Overall, for the price, this place is clean and nice.
We stayed in the "mid-century" suite on the third floor for a quick trip biking along the Great Allegheny Passage and touring Fallingwater (~20-25 min drive). Traveling with one couple and a friend, the two-bedroom arrangement worked out great, had great views of Connellsville from the third-floor windows. The included breakfast vouchers for the Comfort Inn were much appreciated, though we ended up not using them. Very nice first-floor kitchen, dining room, patio, and lounge areas.
I also appreciate the effort to preserve the convent house (Chateau Connellsville's original use, for Immaculate Mary Catholic Church next door)--Connellsville has some rich history, and this property is no exception. Ordinarily, a Comfort Inn wouldn't be on my radar, but based on what I've seen, I wouldn't hesitate to stay there if visiting Connellsville and I couldn't get a room at Chateau Connellsville.
