Beautiful cabin fresh and clean description as viewed as online!! Loved the location
Check-in was smooth and perfect was also able to check in a little bit earlier kitchen well equipped WiFi worked perfect location was perfect to several parts of the Frio River only complaint was property had lawn service scheduled while we were staying at the property definitely very inconvenient hearing the lawn mower and rocks hitting the cabin walls from the weed eater at 7 in the morning on our vacation time
It was great. Really cozy place and loved the green in the back which we hiked in the mornings. The view was amazing and the owners were very quick to respond if I had a few questions.
Loved our stay here for our trip to Garner State Park! Only 5 minutes from the park entrance, the beautiful yard area and dog friendly policy originally drew us in, and the charming little cabin vibe made it perfect! We loved the picnic tables and fairy lights, and the swing was so cute!! The house had 3 AC units, and kept the house COLD! Description said they weren't in the whole house, but we were extremely comfortable and they absolutely reached every part of the house easily. It cooled better than our central system at home!Beds were clean and comfortable, and the bedrooms were the perfect size! Cozy but room enough to set bags down, and the mirrors/vanities were a nice touch. There were also lamps in each room, so you could have more customized lighting than just the big light, giving it a super cozy vibe! The *only* thing that I could mention would be the hot water access. Cold water came through great, but any warm water in the house, either from the shower or sink, came through very weakly. This made washing dishes (and hair, lol) difficult, so the dishes already in the house all had to be re-washed as I assume previous stays had the same issue and didn't take extra time to wash everything. It wasn't a deal breaker, and you could make it worse, but it would be nice if it was just a little stronger!

Disliked: Listing accuracy
Nice location but not what is advertised
The pros- the location is great. Even though it is right next to a multi-house rental the fence made the house feel private. The AC worked great. The house was always cool.
The cons - The interior does not match the pictures. There is a different couch and different furniture. There were no paper towels and only a roll of toilet paper and 2 trash bags for 4 people staying 5 nights. We killed 2 stinging scorpions. It would of been nice to have a place (in the living room) to put belongs other than the floor for people sleeping on the couch. The worst was the lack of water in the shower. It was a drizzle. It was impossible to get shampoo out. You had to be very careful of the goat head stickers. They were everywhere outside. You had to scrape your shoes each time you entered. They had a really long list to tasks to complete at checkout even though they charge a cleaning fee. The supplies in the kitchen were minimal and in very poor condition.

We stayed here as a family and loved the cozy feel of the cabin. It’s close to Garner State Park and the Frio River, great location! The weather didn’t fully cooperate (lots of rain and flash flood warnings), so we had to leave a day early, but we still made good memories playing games indoors and tubing when the rain cleared. Would definitely consider staying again, hopefully with better weather next time!
We have been visiting The Frio for years! We have never been happier with a stay like Cabana Sol! Check in was a breeze! The house was clean as can be! Our entire crew loved the hiking trails, the teens especially! The AC was great! Short trip to Garner. The contact with the owner was super simple, and she responded very quickly! I am already going to message her to book our stay for next year. We truly could have been more pleased with our vacation. Usually we are ready to go home after a couple of days. This year, nobody was ready to leave!

Ok
Ok rental. Wasn't impressed but wasn't bad. There was no towels, only one roll of toilet paper. Had to buy some while we stayed there. One of the dinning chairs was falling apart. Not safe to sit in
Pipes froze and busted. Not anyone's fault. So, we had to leave after the 1st night because there was no water. But, we were only refunded for 1 night instead of the remaining 2 we had booked. The host agreed to refund both. She told me she would check into it and never got back to me. Not ok.
The cabin was very cute! We found it to be clean, the kitchen was well stocked, and the linens on the beds smelled like they were fresh out of the laundry. The Wi-Fi worked well. The listing stated 2 window A/C units, but there was actually 3. The cabin stayed very cool in 100+ degree weather. The beds were listed as full size, but were actually queen size! The property manager was friendly and responded very quickly to my emails. My only complaint is the water. It smelled like sulfur and iron. We knew this property was on a well system, so we expected the water to not be perfect, but it was beyond our expectations in a bad way. There was so much rust in it that it stained the toilet and the sink in the bathroom with a dark orange rust color over just 4 days that we were there. When we got out of the shower all we could smell was a rusty iron smell in our hair and on our skin, and not the soap we used to wash. If it wasn’t for the rusty, stinky water I would have given this cabin 5 stars. Overall a very nice camping cabin. Too bad about the water!
We found the location easily and the accommodations were exactly as described and shown on the website. Check in was easy, and they allowed us to check in early. Water access was 10 minutes at the most away. If definitely stay here again.

Great cabin, that fit 2 adults, and 3 children perfectly. About a 15 min drive to the river access, or gardner state park. Had a lot of amenities, including bbq pit, tables, chairs fire pit, and a kitchen full of things that youll need. Great stay, to just hang out at night, while you the hit the river during the day.

Almost Perfect Paradise
The cozy little cabins are right off of Hwy 83 and easy to find. We rented both of them as we had a larger group going. Everything was good except the smell from the well was almost unbearable. I think that it should be notated somewhere in the listing that the cabins are on a well system and the sulphur smell is extremely obvious for those people who have a sensitivity to smell. Other than the smell there was only one minor issue we had (pull out sofa in Luna was broken). Overall we had a wonderful time and would def stay there again.
The cabin was very nice and cutely decorated. Everything was as described and expected, so no concerns there.
However, there are some real concerns.
First, the cute and decorative sheets are the worst sheets I've ever slept on. They don't fit the mattress, they slip and slide all night, and seem to be one step away from plastic sheets. They were horrible. The plastic that the mattress is wrapped was totally unpleasant. They rattled all night long and because the sheets were so uncomfortable, there was a lot of tossing and turning. Not a pleasant night's sleep for 3 nights. We were there with our teenage grandsons and needed two separate beds for them to sleep. There were no sheets available for the fold down couch. He had to sleep on a blanket (not provided) that we brought from home.
When they say "no towels are provided" they mean for the kitchen as well. So be warned there are none for kitchen use.
Next were the concerns regarding the water. The bathroom sink shot out a lot of rust and metal debris with cold and hot water. When I brushed my teeth, I actually got some metal debris in my mouth.
The shower was nearly useless. The shower head was no more than an inch in diameter and barely sprayed out any water. What did come out shot up on the wall or to the back of the shower. It was almost impossible to even rinse soap off. There was no way I could've washed my hair. There was a slight trickle of water that came out, but it was straight down and impossible to even get under. The bathroom sink worked the best out of all the faucets. I was tempted to wash my hair in the sink.
The kitchen sink water was impossible to wash dishes in. There was less hot water there than in the shower. With almost no water trickle, rinsing dishes was quite challenging. Not to mention it was so hard that it left a white residue on all the dishes.
Lastly, the bat visit. Saturday afternoon, we were all sitting in the living room when all of a sudden a bat flew out of the bathroom, hit the front door, then flew back to a wall in the living room and crashed to the floor. We captured it and released it outside. I called the phone number that was provided in my email for emergencies. I never got a call back. That is unacceptable.
The bats are getting in somehow and should be checked into. Being there with my grandsons, this could have been quite serious, especially if the bats are rabid.
