"Not all La Quintas are the same. Stayed in a nice one in Lodi CA so I booked this one in Philadelphia. No comparison. This one was very run down. Pot holes in the parking lot, broken sink in the lobby, elevator floor was all torn up, carpet stains everywhere, filthy walls, room floor was dirty, shower had a gaping hole from a broken shelf, visible rust and mold on shower door, no soap, questionable bedding, super loud rattling noise from the air conditioner -but it did keep the room cool so that was a plus- and breakfast was minimal. Not all was bad though. There was free on site parking."

"I have stayed here several times before and will NEVER return. Must have been a change/loss of management as the place is now in chaos. The entire property is woefully understaffed, check-in at the front desk was completely backed up and a miserable experience, no one was attending the lobby coffee bar, and the 12th floor Pantry (that you paid extra for) was out of food, the coffee machine didn't work and was filthy as it hadn't been cleaned or restocked in days. I asked the front desk to speak to the Manager, and never got a response. Really a shame as this property used to be a pleasant experience. "

"I believe it’s a shelter also. There were crackheads hanging near the entrance asking for cigarettes. I was locked out of my room after returning late; and no I didn’t have my key near my phone. The bathtub was rusted bad and the water pressure in the sink was very low. The early staff was great; females by the way. The men that worked late were real scared and fidgety which means the property is really not that safe if you operate through a glass window and act cold to the customers."

"We booked this hotel 2-3 weeks ahead of our trip. Travelled very far from Canada to Philadelphia 9 hours . Despite calling them when we booked that we will be arriving early morning booked Thursday through Saturday. And when we got there early morning Friday. They had sold our rooms. We booked for 12 people total. And the booking even said 4 people each room. They tried giving me only 1 room with 2 beds and other 2 with only 1 bed. A family of 12 getting only 4 beds how does that work. Fortunately I found place to sleep after 1 hour of standing tired. And than they refunded my booking. But that too after I called helpline 2-3 times. If doing early check in even if you have booked a day before call them so they don’t sell your room to someone else without confirming with you."

"The bedding seemed clean. The partially-assembled light fixtures in the room had grime and grunge all around them. Some of the guests were homeless people that were being housed there. The shower/tub in our room worked, but it looked and smelled disgusting. And the carbohydrate-only breakfast was edible. The breakfast area was a bit of a wreck. We would say the price was a tad bit high for the conditions."
