The cabin was fine for two of us, but could use some extra cleaning, bathroom hooks, reading lights in bedrooms. Kitchen area could be updated but living area was spacious. We liked the front porch and quiet neighborhood, along with Cantina restaurant down the block.

Infested with ants
Snowed in for a couple of days during our stay and the ants were really bad.

Great stay in a lovely place!
We planned a quick extended weekend trip to the mountains from Florida and our stay at this cabin was exactly what we needed. My children range from 2:00 to 7 years old and it was the perfect size base for all of us to violin relax and launch from. It's adorably decorated and is nestled in a lovely Community next to some amazing food, and the deer happened to be very fond of our location so we had the honor of watching them roam around ours and the neighbors property. Highly recommended, super simple check-in process and Incredibly easy to tidy on our way out. Shockingly close to all of the activities that the Springs have to offer. We can't wait to visit again.

Great spot for a getaway
Located just up the hill from downtown Manitou Springs and a short drive from Garden of the Gods, this spot was perfect for the quiet I needed to work on a personal project, as well as close enough for a few excursions. The cantina a few houses down is a must for anyone visiting; great staff and really good food. The cottage was easy to get to and had everything I needed, was clean and comfortable.

Perfect Little Cabin
The size, location, and amenities were nearly perfect. We really cannot complain except it would be nice if the stove/oven had proper labels. Other than that, this place was perfect for our adult family. Two to three nights is the perfect length of stay for us at a place like this. Thank you for allowing us to check in early! We throughly enjoyed our stay!

Great Manitou Spring Location
Great experience. The cabin is located in a great Manitou Springs neighborhood…just doors down from the Crystal Park Cantina - the absolute best margaritas and food. Super clean and perfect our family of 4. I can not say enough about this property and our experience.

Super cute mountain hideaway
We stayed in Colorado Springs for two nights during our road trip from Texas to Utah. This adorable cabin was perfect for us and our two boys. Well appointed, comfortable with all it he amenities we needed for a great stay. Located in Manitou Springs, it’s super convenient for visiting Garden of the gods, Cave of the Winds and the manitou cliff dwellings. Plus Manitou has an adorable downtown strip with restaurants and shops, so cute!! We would gladly stay there again.

Great Cozy Space
We had a great stay at this property. Our family of five was looking for a quick change of pace and place from Denver and this was perfect. Space was really used well in this small set up and the kitchen had everything we needed for making breakfast multiple mornings. The location cannot be beat for quickly getting to spots around town and in the surrounding areas. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

We had a great visit to Manitou, this is a great spot to stay if you’re wanting something out of the busy tourist areas, but close enough to still get to some of those. We wanted a place that we felt comfortable leaving our dog in his crate for a few hours at a time while we went hiking, ate at restaurants and visited with friends…and this was perfect for that! The only notes I’ll make is that there is a bit of mold in the shower area, likely due to the lingering steam after a shower mixed with the cold air coming from the A/C vent right above the shower. Also, I’d probably recommend re-enforcing the barn door hardware with a header board because it seems to be potentially hazardous. We did have a black bear visit Tuesday night and roll the trash can down into the yard, thank goodness for the bear lock trash can! Glad we didn’t leave anything in the car :) Overall really happy with the experience, we just wanted a cozy place to land after a long day of activities! This was it! Would recommend and will likely be back.

Good location for day trips
My family of 5 enjoyed our stay-it was our base for exploring the CO State parks 30 miles West and South. The first thing we noticed, and appreciated, was the clean floors. We had an issue arise, and the mgmt/owners were very quick to respond and reasonable in the resolution. The kitchen appears small, but the oven worked very well, and had everything we needed to feed 5 for a few days. The Crystal Peak Cantina is just a few houses down, and it was delicious! A line down the street, but in within 30 min and ate like kings. Next time we need a base camp for hiking, this will definitely be our pick!

It was a cute cabin however the small bathroom with tiny sink and very narrow toilet area ( super small width space ) would not work for anyone older or with a disability.

WHile this is a small bathroom it was updated and completely remodeled in 2016. The remodel does meet all curent building code requirements

Property is in a quiet neighborhood and a good location. Sorry to say though, I have never left a property in the condition I had to leave this one. I couldn't find a broom to sweep up, there were no instructions on how to open the bear proof trash bin outside, so had to leave bags of trash in the house. (Did leave a note explaining.) Bathroom is EXTREMELY small and challenging, but doable once you get a routine down. Back bedroom bed spring felt like maybe it needs replaced. Found dirty utensils, which is not the owners fault; some people sadly don't bother about stuff like this. The can opener had to be soaked before it could be washed. A fan in the closet was dirty with dust on the intake side. There were no instructions on what to do with bedding/linens/towels. A local TV channel guide would be helpful. First impressions are everything, and the exterior could use some minor TLC. Back in to the driveway, as backing out can be chance-y. I was disappointed that the described 'sectional' in the living area is just a two cushion small sofa. This property is a good location for a base camp; those wanting to just eat and sleep. No major issues; just small things that guests need to know.

Thank you for your feedback. We are from Colorado so had not thought to leave instructions on how to open the bear proof can. Yes, the bathroom is small but do know that we do replace all the beds each year. We will check the beds again and replace if necissary. We will also make sure to do a deep cleaning of the cabin. Please know that there are check out instructions in the ap but we will also make sure you have them in the home as well..

Quite setting , close to attractions. The pictures had a picnic table but it wasn't there . Cobwebs in the windows. The outdoor furniture was to big for the porch and there was clean sheets and towels occupying the dryer. Propane was out and property manager was not available but was able to get a hold of owner and she sent someone out to replace it about sunset.

Perfect spot
Cute little cabin in the perfect spot. Very short distance to all the tourist spots that we went to. Garden of the gods, manitou cliff dwellings, and also took a train to Pikes Peak. Place was clean and owners contacted me as soon as I had a question. A lot of people complained about the bathroom being small but was not a big deal to us. We made it work. :) We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watched several deer and wild turkeys. On our last day we walked to the Cantina down the street and had a delicious dinner. Lots of good reviews online to that place. We definitely recommend this place!! My kids loved it!

Great base camp
If you are looking for just the basics of somewhere to stay with a great location, this is the spot. It’s small but my family of 4 was just fine here. Laundry and full size fridge were a plus. It was tidy. Only down falls for me were the back room bed. Seems like maybe the box spring is broken on the one side?

Stay away from this place
We travel the world wide and have rented many place before but we have never stayed at a place that was bad as this one. Both of the beds were absolutely horrible. One of the queen sized beds was positioned against the wall and boxed in so if you sleep inside of the bed the only way that you can get out of bed is to climb over the person sleeping next to you. The queen size bunk bed was even worse. The spring from the mattress was poking me all over while I was trying to sleep. It was the oldest mattress I had ever seen. The bathroom sink was a joke! It was only 6" from the wall and you couldn't even wash your face, your hands or even brush your teeth. My husband couldn't even shave while we stayed at this place. The kitchen had no counter space at all and the stove looked like it was a hundred years old. The drive way was very dangerous to back out of and was next to a busy street. I would never recommend this place to anyone...not even my worst enemy!

Thank you for your review but I do want to clarify that we do replace the beds yearly! I will check on that particular bed but it was purchased in Feb of this year! As for the size of the sink and the bed - yes, the bed is against the wall and sink is small. This is a very small cabin and the sink is small. The stove was original and is vintage. We have not had any issues with backing out of the driveway. This is a neighborhood street that does not exit on any busy streets

Nice location, small cabin, dirty condition
The cabin is the size as advertised, small but great for what we needed. The cabin was not clean, we found a broken glass in the dishwasher, laundry in the washer and dryer, and the floors were disgusting. I understand that it is a pet friendly rental, but we were sweeping everyday (6 days) and getting loads of dog and cat hair. The living room furniture was stained and also covered in hair. The washer was not functioning properly, I notified the property manager. She said she would send someone over to look at it or fix it, that never happened. The washer would take hours to complete a cycle. There was no vacuum, and the bedrooms were carpet and filthy. When we checked in the back door was unlocked, all 3 locks left unsecured. The thermostat was a pain to try to change or adjust, often being to cold at night. This is not somewhere that I would stay again.

Jillian, Wow, we are so very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We do absolutely take all feedback seriously and have done a thorough cleaning of the home making sure to also have the carpets and couch cleaned professionally. I am so sorry you had trouble with the washer. We do use the washer regularly and have had mo problem with it including on check outs. We will look to place directions for the ac.

Quaint and cozy
The property itself was fantastic! calm and quiet. The new neighbor moving in was very kind and said hello. The patio with rocking chairs was a favorite spot! The only downside was the fact that there were a few things lacking in the cleanliness area- albeit nothing major. There was no dish soap for hand washing pots/pans, Cutting board was caked with bread crumbs and tomato seeds upon arrival(probably because no dish soap), and the carpet could definitely use a routine steam clean.

Perfect for a family of four
We liked our accommodations at this property. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. We had 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. It is the perfect place for a family of four. My kids enjoyed playing in the fenced in front yard also. We were also in walking distance of a park with a playground. We were close to Pike's Peak and other attractions. We would definitely choose to stay here again next time we are in Colorado Springs. Thankyou

My husband and I enjoyed staying in the cabin. The property was clean and well decorated. However, there were a few small things that would have made our stay even better. The main annoyance was the temperature. It was very chilly (in the high 50's low 60's) all of the time and with no change when we adjusted the thermostat. The other minor surprises was that there was not a hair dryer so if we were to stay here again we would make sure we brought our own and the bathroom is TINY. Other than those two things our stay was nice and the location is ideal for a quiet getaway.

Wonderful Little Cabin
My family and I (two adults, two kids [15 and 12], and two small dogs) spent three terrific days here, right after Christmas. The house was small, but perfectly equipped, and the location was ideal (quiet, but less than a mile from the heart of Manitou Springs). We especially enjoyed experiencing the deer who joined us each day. It was our first VRBO booking, and we couldn't have been happier. Thank you!

Remember you're in bear country. We had a large black bear at the door, attempting to get into the bear proof trash can. The can was knocked over and the bear rammed the can into the door near the living room and the house. We didn't see Mr. Bear anymore after that!😉 The deer and turkey are pretty neat too! I would stay here again!👍👍

Perfect location!
This was the perfect house for our vacation. It was located right in the middle of everything that we wanted to do. Yet, it also felt secluded and private being surrounded by trees. I loved my mornings sitting on the front porch watching the wildlife.
