We had a terrible time getting the digital door lock to open. It normally syncs to the renters last 4 digits of their pone. That wasn’t working, so I was given a different code via email. Upon arrival, I tried and tried. Finally, I called the Hoste management office. The young women worked with me to try multiple codes. After about a half hour of frustration, she said she would send someone out. But, trying one more “permanent” code, the lock opened. We were afraid to leave in case it wouldn’t work. Thankfully, it did continue to work during our two night stay.
I am a pretty tech savvy individual. But, I had further difficulty turning the heat on. It was set to 64 degrees. Again, frustration because it was a thermostat that both my husband had ever seen, with no instructions.
There was NO instructions for anything. During the second call to the management company, my husband got instructions on how to use the thermostat. PLUS, he had to ask for the internet credentials.
There also were no instructions laying out expectations for departure I.e. stripping beds, towels, garbage etc.
Lastly, for the price charged for this unit, for goodness sake, buy some softer toilet paper. It was so thin and nearly useless!
I have stayed at a lot of VRBOs and AirBnBs, but rarely post reviews. I felt it necessary this time.
