コインブラ大学の展望台とほぼ同等の高さにある屋上のテラスからはビールやポルトワインを飲みながらドウロ川を一望できます。ホテル内、部屋もおしゃれで快適に過ごせます。ホテルのレストランの食事も美味しいです。レストランでは、夕方１８時から２０時はワインを一人一杯無料でいただけます。

とてもオシャレできれいなホテルでした。立地は坂の上にあるのでアクセスが大変。歩きましたがタクシーがおすすめ。その代わり大学はすぐそばにあります。 ルーフトップからの眺めが素晴らしいです。 オレンジジュースが美味しかった。 また利用したいおススメのホテルです。

デザインが秀逸
ロケーションはコインブラ大学のすぐ近くだがかなり急な坂を上り下りしなければならずちょっと大変。でもそれを補って余りある部屋の快適さとサービスの良さがあり大満足。

きれいで清潔なホテル
コインブラ大学の前で部屋も清潔でとても良い。 ただ、坂の上にあるので、重い荷物がある場合は歩いてくるのは難しい。

Property and service overall was great. Next to the university and just a short (though hilly) walk to shopping and dining. Only issue was during the day lot of noise from foot traffic and luggage from the floor above, but not an issue at night when sleeping. Great experience overall.

We stayed in very nice hotels on our Portugal trip, the Sapientia Boutique Hotel among them. The "stories" are mostly about how easy they were to reach and how convenient they were for parking. "Reaching" this one involved a 15-minute re-route, but once we took the right turn, parking was a breeze! The hotel sits opposite the retaining wall of the university above it. Guests can park all along the wall on the alley approaching the hotel and then place a parking permit on their dash. Finding the hotel in the first place was trickier! GPS had us approaching it. We were SO close! But we missed the last narrow, alley-like turn. Suddenly we had a 15-minute re-route until we could approach the hotel again. Play very close attention to your GPS!! Nice location. Nice room. Nice breakfast. Helpful staff.

This is an excellent guest house. We stayed in this addition in the backyard. Extremely spacious brand new very comfortable bed and very quiet. They have an excellent breakfast and excellent lunch, but don’t serve dinner. The location is fantastic. Walkable and safe. This was one of our top hotels we stayed in Portugal.

Wonderful property and service. The rooms were very large with a magnificent view of the surroundings. The food and dining could be better, but overall a great experience.

Best Hotel
This place was absolutely amazing! Probably my favorite hotel in Portugal and we have been more than a few places. The staff were very friendly, spoke english extremely well and were helpful in booking tours and things to do. Wonderful restaurants, shops and historic areas right near by. I did not love the walking up the hills to return each day but really worth it for the rooftop views! I am more accustomed to deep, squishy beds, however they were sufficient for a good night sleep. The showers were also my favorite in all of Portugal, great water pressure and heat, something I found harder to come by.

Perfect place to stay. University of Coimbra is right next door. It had lots of space for our family of 3 adults. The decor is all about books. The rooftop patio on the 6th floor had a great view. We found parking easy in front of the hotel. Pay attention to the details of how to avoid narrow streets leaving. It involves ringing a button to take an interior street. It’s worth it as the streets will not fit many cars. The restaurant was wonderful. Our waiter, Joel, was fabulous and told us so many cool things about Portuguese food. We will definitely stay here again.

This hotel is located right next to the Coimbra University, which is the highlight of the city. It’s a 1’ walk to the famous Biblioteca Joanina, one of the most beautiful libraries in the world . We had dinner the first night, it was tasty and well served. Breakfast is also tasty and there is a lot of variety to choose from. The room was huge, and it has also a small living room, a dinner table and a very comfortable kitchen. The courtyard on ground floor is very nice ( unfortunately it was raining and cold so we could not enjoy it so much ). They have five free parking spots on the street, you just need to be lucky to get a spot ( which we did), since parking is expensive and complicated around. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel if you plan to visit Coimbra University ( which is totally worth it)

A beautiful hotel our room was fantastic with a lovely balcony overlooking the picturesque courtyard would highly recommend you book if you go to the amazing City of Coimbrã we will be back for sure they also have a roof top view of the river which is incredible

Nice for City escape
Very centric boutique hotel, ideal for a short escape in Coimbra city. Nice and friendly staff. Rooms are a little bit "cold", not so cozy. Bathroom window direct to people passing with no blackout cover. Good breakfast

Très satisfait de l’accueil et de l’emplacement . Quelques minutes à pied de l’université et de la bibliothèque Joanina. Places de stationnement disponibles à l’hôtel, mais puisque c’est dans la partie historique, l’accès n’est pas évident. Personnel très aidant et accueillant. Restaurant de grande qualité. Cour intérieure invitante. Nous retournerons certainement au même hôtel.

We didnt like the dining options, not enough variety, average quality and to expensive for Portugal. In our three days in Coimbra, the dinner at the hotel was the most expensive one (even if we take out the bottle of wine we ordered, because it was cheaper to buy the bottle than by the glass) and by far the lowest quality. Otherwise the Hotel was nice.

Perfection. Everything about this hotel is just right. Our room was the junior suite. Lots of space, great bed and bathroom. Lots of nice extras. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Parking can be confusing for a foreigner and they were so patient and helpful. Great location steps from the University.
