"Fabulous hotel and very friendly staff. There was a minor issue with our payment on arrival. The staff quickly noticed the issue, where honest and apologetic. Paolo in particular was very helpful and friendly. The hotel also gave a free ticket to a city to apologise which very kind. Generally, the hotel is clean, well maintained. Very comfortable and has good amenities and in a good location. Will definitely stay here again and advocate that others do so too."

Front desk stafff contacted the property management after hours services. It took 1 and half hour to finish the check in process"

Although this once tranquil fishing hamlet is now a popular destination on Peru's 'Gringo Trail', it has clung proudly to its fishing roots. These narrow boats, made from the same reeds used by the Uros in the Lake Titicaca region, are still in use today.

They're known as 'Caballitos de Tortora', meaning "little horses" because of the way they are 'ridden' by the fishermen who use them.

If you wake up early enough (and I mean early; these fishermen are already casting their bait before the sun rises) you can witness an age old tradition in practice.

"Reached around 10 pm, no bath towels and took them a while to place them. The mirrors looks pretty bad inside the room. Also, weird smell in the corridor. I would not recommend this hotel after paying 300 USD per night"

"Nice hotel. Breakfast was fabulous, though not included. We paid Soles110. Jimmy was incredibly attentive and made sure ee knew we could get made to order eggs, waffles, etc. Our room was very nice. Large and comfortable. Only concerns were refrigerator not working. Replaced the second day, but that didn't keep the beer, wine and cheese we bought cold. Hitel stored some in a basement fridge, waitedquite a while to get my cold coke zero brought up in the morning. The rooftop pool area with bar was nice, heated pool but the jacuzzi jets didn't work. All staff were super pleasant. Nice bar in entry with live music Thursday night. Island music on rooftop Thursday night also, but started too late for our 430 am departure to airport. "

"This is an excellent hotel, clean and comfortable in the Miraflores district of Lima not far from the pacific ocean. Many rooms havd s view of the sea. The service ethos at the hotel is very good - the staff are friendly and try hard to ensure guests have a good stay. Especial shout out to July on the front desk who was excellent. "
