We arrived at 3:30pm but couldn’t get into the hotel until 5pm, as the hotel was closed until then. The room was good but no tea / coffee in the room.
The reception was very helpful and friendly, but it would have been good to have the menu in English as well as French, as my wife ordered her meal without knowing it included scallops as there was no mention of this on the menu and scallops don’t agree with her, otherwise the meal was very good, as was breakfast.

Pleasant hotel with a good restaurant
Very old hotel that has been refurbished to modern standards. Bedrooms are comfortable (and quiet), bathrooms are modern but the showers are a nightmare and there is nowhere to hang a towel!.
The hotel has a large car park and a quiet garden on the banks of Le Loir.
Breakfasts are typical continental, more fruit would be nice but don't expect hot food. Dinner in the restaurant was very good, we ate there on three successive evenings.

We had stayed in the hotel last year and wanted to return but we found this visit a little disappointing as the service was more off hand and a bit sloppy, plus dinner was served in the cramped, noisy bistro instead of the lovely dining room. Had to check the bill carefully, as we had been charged twice for dinner and wine!
