La camera è molto bella, con luci da notte soffuse che non danno noia appena svegli e lucine sulla testiera del letto per leggere. Al panorama di meglio non si può chiedere. Il bagno è moderno, confortevole e pratico. Al momento del pagamento non era ben chiaro se il saldo fosse già stato effettuato o meno. Disguido risolto subito e senza problemi.

Mountain retreat

We chose Baita Deona because we love the mountains and wanted to experience the Dolomites. We were not disappointed. Cibiana Pass is stunning! The staff at Baita Deona were kind and friendly, and tried hard to communicate with us, since we only speak English. Despite this, they anticipated our needs and filled our requests. There is a small restaurant and bar onsite and wood decks for enjoying the sun and mountain views. A simple breakfast is included, Rooms are clean and spacious with a large window/door facing the mountains. Beds are firm with quality linens. At the beginning of October, this is one of the only lodging/eating options in the Pass. It is a 20-minute drive on a steep, winding road to the nearest town. Stay put and enjoy hiking or cycling on the trails just outside your door and the hospitality of Baita Deona. I highly recommend this serene setting.

Molto bello

Profumo di legno delle strutture della baita che sembra appena costruita, anche se è già la seconda volta che ci alloggio a distanza di tempo. Un luogo per gli amanti della montagna, con servizi di ottimo livello. La prima colazione, ottima e abbondante, vicino al camino acceso e con la vista delle montagne vale il soggiorno.

Great road stop in the Cadore valley

Excellent value for money for b&b. Comfortable warm room with magnificent view of the mountains. Evening meal ok if limited in range - Cornigien just down the road is a better bet. Friendly and helpful especially given the virtually non-existent state of our Italian. We managed a great day long low level walk below the dolomiti crags starting from Baita Deona, with the aid of a topo map bought from the restaurant. Situated just at the start of the route up to the Messner mountain museum.

Perfekt på vår rutt

Perfekt på vår MC-rutt låg denna hotellpärla på 1600 möh. Oansenligt på bild men mycket trevligt rum, trevlig personal, god frukost.

Ottimo soggiorno

Abbiamo soggiornato 4 notti alla baita: camera comoda, pulitissima, estremamente silenziosa, letto comodissimo. Ottima la cena e gentili le titolari. Unico neo....forse aggiungerei qualcosa di salato alla colazione, basterebbe solo un po di formaggi e due fette di speck per gli amanti del salato la mattina! La baita si trova in cima al passo Cibiana, per cui non è comodissima! A noi serviva un punto comodo sia per la zona di longarone che per l'ampezzano e dalla piantina Internet non ci siamo resi conto di non essere lassù!! Del tipo che se volete fare una doccia e dopo andare a cena da qualche parte....non è comodissimo!!! Valutazione totale comunque ottima e la vista da lassù stupenda!
