This is one of the most charming vrbo that i have stayed at. the house is just as 1 described My son graduated Navy Bootcamp and it was so nice to have the comfort of this home vs sharing 3 hotel rooms.

Charming bungalow in great neighborhood
We were in town for a wedding and this was the perfect bungalow for the 3 of us and in a neighborhood close to everything we needed to get to. Loved the charming rooms, decorative touches, comfortable beds, outdoor sitting area and it was clean. It had everything we needed. Would stay here again if ever back in the area.

More than we expected
The house is adorable and charming! It is an older home, floors are creeky… but it gives it character! Everything you need is on the premises! The neighborhood and surrounding areas are full of charm and character as well! We loved walking downtown Libertyville. The shops are lovely and the food is excellent. Downtown Mundalein was nice as well. We had dinner at Tina G’s, food and atmosphere was excellent! There w was plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the musicians playing at the tavern, the weather was beautiful. We strolled through the neighborhood with its meticulously manicured lawns and cute little houses! It was a wonderful experience and we would definitely visit and book this place again!

Perfect house
This house was perfect for our needs. Plenty of space to spread out. If you’re not used to radiators, they can freak you out but we now know it’s all normal sounds. It stayed nice and warm for our stay. One bathroom for all of us to share was tricky. There is a half bath in the basement with limited lighting. Overall we would stay here again when we visit our family. 100%!

Great Location to Naval Base
The house had everything you needed. It was clean and well maintained. The neighborhood had everything you could want close by. For those picking up recruits from Great Lakes it was only about a 15-20 min ride. Highly recommended and a great host!

Was in a great location and accessible. Didn’t use the restroom in the basement, but upstairs one was really nice. Fridge is just located behind a door right outside the kitchen as u head down to the basement. Was clean and comfortable.

Could Be a Gem
This property is an old home that needs some TLC. Might be good for a short 2-3 day stay. House is good sized but beds and furniture are uncomfortable. A new sofa and master bed would make a huge difference. There was no place to be comfortable. The refrigerator is not in the kitchen, but on the upper landing of the basement stairs. There were extension cords running in multiple places around the house. 2nd bathroom is in the musty basement and usable only in an emergency. Only access to backyard is through the basement. Positives: updated main bath, newer washer and dryer, fully stocked kitchen with some complementary coffee, owners were very attentive when contacted.

Larry, thank you so much for your feedback! Indeed, this is a 1920’s bungalow. I apologize that you found the furniture uncomfortable. It seems that finding a piece of furniture “comfortable” is largely dependent on the guest…and being that it’s not practical to change the furniture with each guest. Yes, the refrigerator is as pictured on the listing. We think it’s somewhat charming as the old fashioned ice box used to be in that exact spot so that the ice man could easily access it. We even note on the listing that the half bath in the basement is for emergency purposes only. Most guests find the home’s vintage characteristics endearing. I suppose it’s all a matter of perspective. We stand firm that everything is as listed in the photos and on the listing.

Great house, excellent area
We had a super vacation. The house was cozy, clean, and located in a very nice, safe neighborhood. It’s only 20 minutes from Six Flags Over America, and 30 minutes from Lake Michigan. Just a few minutes away, there is an awesome, quaint town called Libertyville that we fell in love with. Americana town with excellent restaurants, fun family events, and nice people. We’ll be back!!!

Pleasant on Prairie
The house is in a great location and very clean. It was a comfortable stay for several weeks for the two of us. It is an older home, but the bathroom has been remodeled, and the kitchen is equipped with newer appliances.

It's a wonderful property, with lots of character. "Quaint" is a perfect term for it! It was spotless when we arrived, all the appliances are new and worked perfectly, beds were comfortable, and we truly enjoyed our stay. We didn't have any problems at all. Our communication with the property managers was excellent - always received a speedy reply. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!!

Warm and cozy House on Prairie
Jen and Rafal are fabulous owners. We enjoyed renting this quaint bungalow and were able to spend time with our children and grandchildren over the holidays, have sleepovers and reconnect. We will definitely be staying again as we travel to this area often to visit.

Great stay at "Little House on Prairie"
I had a great stay at "Little House On Prairie". Clean, comfortable, and convenient location. Love the character of a 1920's built home, with added modern conveniences. This trip I was solo but I wouldn't hesitate to bring my family of 4. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Mundelien train goes to O'Hare. Libertyville train goes to Union Station in downtown Chicago if you want to explore!

An Excellent place to stay! Easy to find. Clean. Cute (midcentury modern) and Cozy. Note: 2 of the bedrooms have twin beds (2 in one room, 1 in another) and only 1 bedroom has a larger (queen?) bed. Kitchen stocked with some basic items too which was a pleasant surprise!

Charming, comfortable, and convenient!
This adorable historic house was everything we needed to enjoy our stay while in the area for our son's Navy boot camp graduation. Exceptionally clean, with a well-stocked kitchen, lovely dining area, and comfortable living space, and a bargain compared to staying in a hotel. Several restaurants within walking distance, a large grocery store a five minute drive, and an easy drive to the base for graduation. I wish we had known about this place when our older son was at boot camp...we would have stayed here then, too!

We really enjoyed our stay at the lil house on Prairie, it was very clean, comfortable and spacious. It was stocked with everything that we needed. We were here for our sons graduation from bootcamp and it was very convenient in location to the base. Only about a 20 minute drive. I also asked if we could check out a little later so we could spend a little bit more time together and Jennifer said that would not be a problem. It is an older home with beautiful woodwork and hardwood floors that creaked when you walked on them but it went with the character of the house. If I had one complaint it would be that the mattresses in the two back bedrooms weren't very comfortable, and also the lighting in the basement bathroom isn't very good. So just use that one for doing your business 😀 if the one upstairs is full. Of course we slept ok but it could have been better. That is the only reasons I gave this a 4 star instead of a 5 star. I would highly recommend this house to rent to anyone and would stay here again if I needed to come back to this area. Oh and the area is very nice also. Felt safe, like I was in my own home. Comfortable home environment
This home fit our needs perfectly. It was close to all our Mundelein activities and provided a nice homey atmosphere for family to gather for dinners and games. The owners were easy to work with and quick to respond to questions we had. We recommend this place.
