Great VRBO!
The apartment was clean, comfortable and very homey. The owners, Jim and James, and their assistant Lisa were welcoming and wonderful hosts. I stayed for a full month and took many walks on the Dilworth/Southend area. It was a perfect location. I highly recommend this VRBO and hope to stay there again on another visit to Charlotte.

Charming & welcoming, quiet and comfortable
All the touches of home. Beautiful neighborhood and very walkable. The host left lovely touches - some fruit, a bottle of wine, and more. The bed was very comfortable and the building and area were very quiet. Cute screened in porch too!

We had a great time!
we are thinking of moving to Charlotte and thought a stay in a neighborhood would be a better experience than a hotel - we were right. Jim and James were available and friendly, the codo was clean and well stocked and Dilworth is a great part of Charlotte - so clean. And all the road is Charlotte are so SMOOTH - especially compared to Massachusetts!

Thanksgiving and Christmas vacation
I enjoyed a month in Charlotte visiting my daughter and grandchildren, but staying at The Magnolia rather than with my daughter. It couldn't have worked out better...It provided "me" time, was so lovely and clean and the one time I had to call and ask a question, Charlie responded immediately and resolved my question in a very friendly and professional manner. There is no question I would stay at one of their apartments again! I loved it. And, the day I arrived they provided food and drink so I didn't have to run out to the market!

Fantastic stay and visit to charlotte
We are more than pleased with our stay at Jim and James's place in charlotte. The place had more than enough provisions to make us feel right at home. The kitchen was super nice with updated appliances and cookware. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the neighborhood was beautiful! We were greeted with a nice array of thoughtful goodies and helpful tidbits about the house and the goings on about town. Jim and James were extremely helpful in recommending places for dinner and fun around charlotte. We were able to use the two bikes at the property and bike to a Pathers game downtown. James even filled up our tires before we started the trek. The place is just as is described. Very cozy and lovely. Well definitely stay at one of Jim and James's remodels ASAP!

Accomodations added to the charm of my visit
I stayed at this fabulous property for eight days in September 2011. The comfort of this stay went beyond the apartment itself, although that was excellent, but can be credited to the owners. Prior to my arrival I was able to email back and forth with the owner and was provided detailed information about what to do, where to shop and numerous highlight events and venues all detailed on a google map.
In addition, they included wonderful small touches upon arrival such as wine, pasta and breakfast muffins which made my late arrival bearable the next day.
The accommodations were very charming, clean and well appointed. The screened in porch is a highlight and I used it often throughout the week.I really felt 'at home' when I was staying at the apartment and could really relax and enjoy my time out and about in Charlotte and downtime just relaxing with a glass of wine.
Getting to the apartment and accessing the unit was very easy and convenient.
If ever I am in Charlotte again, this is where I will stay.
Thank you for a wonderful stay.

LOVED it!!!
This was our first time in Charlotte and so knowing nothing I took a chance on this apartment/location when I booked it--What a GREAT find! This apartment is lovely- clean, charming, comfortable, convenient, and very well stocked with kitchen equipment, linens, amenities, etc. The hosts are so gracious and generous, and provided us with all sorts of helpful information before and during our stay. Communication and transactions with them were seamless. There is all sorts of parking at the property but we did not have a car, and instead used the (easily navigable) Charlotte transit system extensively. Its an easy 15 minute walk from the apartment through a beautiful neighbourhood to the Lynx light rail train which takes you to Uptown/Centre City (main transit connections, sports, museums, restaurants, shopping) in minutes. Though the street is very quiet and completely residential, there is a large grocery store very nearby which was SO convenient and the tavern near the grocery store was great for a casual meal one night. There are many other restaurants and shops within 15-20 minutes of the property-- so lots of options. We took a cab from the airport when we arrived, but transit was so easy to use and accessible we took the very inexpensive airport bus ("Sprinter") back. There are also lots of parks and trails nearby for walking and running. Its very much an oasis in the middle of a bustling city. I would recommend it to friends and stay again in a heartbeat.
