  • Our destination wedding was held on the island of #crete #greece in #chania, which is the Western side of the island. We had a total of 30 guests from 9 different countries all over the world, so to make it special, we created a week of wedding festivities rather than only one day! We had an activity day with all of the guests where we chartered a private bus to show us some of the great attractions and hidden gems of Chania. One of our stops was at Stavros Beach where Zorba the Greek was filmed! We had some traditional Greek mezethes (tapas or appetizers), which consisted of lots of #seafood ! I don't know about you, but I could stare at this plate all day long. Nice and quiet aparthotel in Stavros

This is a quiet location, and a very nice apartement hotel. The rooms is renovated, clean and delicate. The owner is very nice. Lot's of beaches nearby, if you like to walk. If not, a car is recommended or only stay at the beautyfull Beach in Stavros.

Lite og koselig sted, som er perfekt for små familier. God beliggenhet med kort vei til alt du trenger. Alexis og moren hans er to herlige mennesker som legger til rette, og ordner opp i hva det måtte være. Anbefales.

Dla rodzin z dziećmi. - Kilka kroków od plaży.

Idealne miejsce dla rodzin z dziećmi. Kilka kroków do piaszczystej plaży przy płytkiej zatoczce z łagodnie opadającym dnem. Zwykle wieje lekka, przyjemna bryza od morza. Wg mnie to najlepsza plaża w okolicy. Wokół znajduje się wiele tawern i restauracji gdzie można popróbować lokalnych przysmaków w dobrej cenie. Na powitanie otrzymaliśmy ciasto i rakiję, a ostatni dzień mogliśmy przedłużyć do samego wieczora, mimo że doba kończy się w południe. Nie ma problemu z zaparkowaniem samochodu.

Fantastic beachside location ideal for families. Comfortable rooms and very friendly, helpful hosts. A washing machine or facility would have been the extra bonus.

Alloggio a Stavros

L'appartamento é situato in piccolo complesso residenziale a 300 metri da una bella spiaggia ottima per le famiglie ed è buona base per escursioni nelle bellissime località a portata di auto. Il locale dove abbiamo soggiornato in 4 è spazioso e molto curata é la pulizia. Susie ed Alexis sono molto gentili e disponibili e si adoperano in caso di necessità. Ci siamo trovati molto bene e quando ci sarà possibile pensiamo di tornarci.

Good basic apartment close to beach

The owner gave us a good welcome and had even baked us a lovely madeira marble cake and left it in fridge along with a small bottle of Ouzo, some grapes and bottles of water. There were also tea, coffee, butter portions and ready made toast to keep us going till the morning. We were left to our own devices after the welcome and there is no cleaning service. A broom is left for you to sweep the accommodation and we were given a change of towels and sheets a bit later than we expected but nevertheless it was nice not to have to get up and dressed for a cleaner to come into the rooms. There is no bar/reception area but it didn't really matter. The beach is round the corner and there are about half a dozen good tavernas close by. Would recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday. The only drawback was the lack of an ATM machine in Stavros itself and the 2 small supermarkets are about 15 mins walk. Would recommend car hire as the nearest ATMs are in Chania which is about 8 miles away, there is a local bus but it doesn't run very frequently and got packed in August.
