Can not recommend if you want a 4 Star expirience
Sorry to say a very negative experience at Hotel Santa Lucia Le Sabbie d'Oro. Unfortunately, the hotel did not meet our 4 star expectations. The hotel lacks a modern ambiance, and the staff was not friendly or service-minded. Additionally, the rooms experienced issues with plumbing, which is definitely disappointing. Even after requesting a room change, the second room had a distinct tobacco smell, which is unpleasant for non-smokers. Furthermore, our first night was disrupted by noise from neighboring rooms, which is unacceptable for a peaceful stay. It is regrettable that the hotel did not offer any compensation for these inconveniences. Regarding the location, having a train passing outside your window makes it far from a quiet and serene environment. If you are seeking a 4-star experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

Wedding Anniversary
Very disappointed with the hotel. On arrival looked very modern. Inside very old and worn and brown. Reception not very welcoming, room very old fashioned but very clean. A long way from the town and to walk along by the sea 102 steps to negotiate, walk of approximately 2 miles. Bad experience as our son wanted to send up a bottle of bubbly for our Anniversary but was told no one of our name was staying there. We brought this up with the manager and he was most apologetic and offered us a free meal as compensation. Breakfast very boring the same every day and staff were moving tables for the next meal whilst we were still eating. Overall very disappointing stay

Noicy parties at night
We stayed four nights - two of the nights the hotel hosted big parties on the lawn below our room. One night was a bit noisy while the other (seemed like a 18 year birthday) had a DJ that was extremely noisy from 9 - midnight. If you want to be a family hotel - that is just not the way to go....

Great beach!
We stayed here for 1 night, as we attended a wedding, which was lovely. Our room had a fantastic view of Cefalu and the sea but the accommodtion and hallway is looking little tired and could do with updating. On the plus side, the pool is a good size and bar area is very modern, with friendly and helpful staff, even with our very limited Italian. Our favourite spot overall though, was the quiet beach in front of the hotel, with beautifully cleàr wàter (few rocks and stones) which is another plus, as it is far busier further towards the town. Overall, it is great spot.

Hôtel agréable, proche de Cefalu et belle piscine
Établissement très bien placé, piscine superbe avec une vue sur la mer et Cefalu, un accès à pied à la mer. La voie de chemin de fer n'est pas gênante du tout, un train par heure quand nous y étions fin septembre. Le petit déjeuner est correct pour le standing de l'hôtel.

Decent hotel nice pool, needs rennovation
Decent hotel, friendly staff very helpful. No beach, beach erroded, but nice pool. Carpets extremely dirty and old, room Furniture sparse as from the 1950s, in dire need of renovation. Good breakfast with a lot of variety.

Hotel pulito ma un po' datato nell'arredamento. Servizi efficienti ma lavandino del bagno in camera che perdeva. Si sono messi subito a disposizione per sistemarlo. WiFi un po' lento nelle camere e televisore troppo vecchio (14 pollici a tubo catodico!). Piscina e servizio ristorante molto soddisfacenti.

Trevligt hotell med bra pool!
Vi bodde tre nätter på hotellet. Vi fick ett familjerum ovanför receptionen, som inte var stort men kändes rent och fräscht. Vi hade havsutsikt! Poolområdet kändes fräscht. Mycket positivt var att han som arbetade runt poolen plockade bort handdukarna från solstolarna om man inte var där på länge. Det betydde att det fanns solstolar till de som verkligen använde dem för stunden. Frukosten var helt ok. Hade läst några negativa recensioner så vi hade inga förväntningar, men vi tyckte det mest nödvändiga fanns med. Avståndet till Cefalu var också ok. Trodde det skulle vara längre. Var i alla fall ok att gå under 3 dagar. Tog ca 25 min.

Bra hotell en bit från Cefalu centrum men det gick lätt att gå strandpromenaden in till centrum vilket tog cirka 25 minuter. Hade dock underhållning med ganska hög ljudvolym som kan uppfattas som störande om man inte uppskattar detta varje kväll. I övrigt fräscht rum med fin balkong ut mot havet /fin utsikt.

Olimme nyt heinäkuussa 2016 mieheni, tyttäremme ja minä Santa Lucia e le Sabbie d'Oro hotellissa kaksi viikkoa. Olimme varanneet 3-hengen huoneen parvekkeella ja merinäkymällä. Ensiksi saamamme huone oli alle arvostelun. Rakennuksiahan on siellä kolme, huone oli rakennuksessa, jonka takana on Cafe'n parkkipaikka. Huoneessa ei ollut merinäkymää, vain se parkkipaikka ja 'roskikset'. Huoneessa oli pölyistä ja seinän vierellä hometta, jne. Tyttäremme sai allergiakohtauksen, onneksi olivat tropit mukana. Menimme vastaanottoon valittamaan, ensin siellä väitettiin, että se oli juuri sellainen huone kuin mistä olimme maksaneet. No, loppujen lopuksi meille luvattiin seuraavaksi päiväksi huoneen vaihto. Huone oli nyt sellainen kuin olimme varanneetkin, ilmastointi, suihku, parveke, ja aivan upeat näkymät merelle ja Cefalu'n kaupunkiin. Se sijaitsi päärakennuksessa. Siivoojat pitivät huoneen siistinä päivittäin, ja olivat avuliaita kuten muukin henkilökunta. Ostimme hotellissa puolihoidon, siis lisämaksusta. Kallista, mutta hyvää ruokaa. Miinuksena kamalat jonot ruokalassa, ihmiset eivät osanneet 'jakautua' ryhmiin, esim. alkupaloja oli kolmella tiskillä, mutta kaikki jonottivat samassa rivissä. Hotellin asiakkaat näyttivät olevan enimmäkseen slaaveja. Omaa uimarantaa hotellilla ei enää ole (kuten 9-10 vuotta sitten), kohdalla on vain kivikkoranta, mutta allasalue on hyvä. Hiekkarantaan mennään ensin 103 askelmaa alas ja sitten Lungomarea pitkin n. 1/2 - 1 km.

Could not stay there dirty and mold
The hotel that is being advertised is not complete they are using the old hotel that is a dirty smelly smoke infested . Also the amount of black mold is too much to describe . The management would not even come out to talk to us . We had no Choise but to find another hotel. Expedia needs to ck out their hotels better also I have spent over $200 in phone calls to expedia to get another hotel and it's been a nightmare especially when I have my family in another country .not happy at all with all of this.

Beautiful view and great pool
This hotel had, by far, the largest room, best views, and best breakfasts of our entire trip through Italy and Venice. The pool is fabulous. My only complaint is that it's quite noisy for sleeping. There is an outdoor disco, there was also a wedding reception held there while we were there (with competing music), and our room on the top floor was constantly disturbed by noise from the rooftop deck.
