The Nifty Fifties in a Quiet Location

Beat feet over to this nifty place located on a quiet, dead end street. This gem is sure to help you and your baby get your relaxation on! The original bitchin’ kitchen and bathroom (updated for today) will take you back to the “Leave it to Beaver” days of yesteryear! This joint is the bee’s knees with lots of space to spread out and enjoy! The lower level bar area is the perfect combination of Doo Wop and Malt Shop with its pink & black accents and boomerang counters! This place is definitely NOT dullsville and offers 50” TV’s to watch any flick. You’ll have it made in the shade in the quaint backyard sitting area. So, don’t be square, pack your threads and get your wazoo over to this pad now!
Please be respectful of this beautiful home. Quiet time after 10 pm. Dogs are allowed but NO cats. PLEASE pay attention to your pet, let it out and clean up after it so other guests may enjoy a clean home in the future.

Such a cute house!

Our family of 5 stayed here 2 nights. The house is so cute! My kids loved learning how to use a rotary phone. Ha! Communication from Kathleen was great. The house was in a safe location and very clean. A wonderful stay. Thanks for sharing it with us!

A Perfect Retro Getaway – Quiet, Thoughtful, and Full of Charm!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautifully themed 50’s-style home! From the moment we walked in, we were immersed in the retro decor—every detail was thoughtfully curated and made the experience feel like a step back in time. The location was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing escape. One of our favorite parts of the stay was enjoying the private backyard in the evenings—it was such a cozy spot to unwind. Nifty Fifties is an absolute delight!

You will be so impressed with your stay at Kathleen’s lovely property. The decor is to die for, and the amenities are plentiful. The location is so quiet that the singing of the birds in the morning may be the only noise you hear! If you’re lucky, you may spot a deer or other wildlife outside of the large, enchanting living room windows and feel like you’re in a Disney movie. Check-in is simple and effective, and the host makes communication simple. You’re within just minutes of any Cedar Rapids attraction. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and you shouldn’t either. Thank you!

What a great find. As soon as my family and I walked in, we felt at home. The vibe was awesome.The neighborhood was quiet abd peaceful. It was like stepping back in time. we even had 3 deer stroll across the yard one evening.It was super clean. The beds were reaĺly comfortable. The hostess, Kathleen, even had complimentary fun snacks and wine set out for us to enjoy It was fun looking around and seeing many of the things from the 'old days': various salt and pepper shakers, Betty Crocker cook book, a dial telephone and the list goes on. Every room you go into has something that'll make you smile. Even the downstairs area was outstanding outstanding with its bar and lounge area.If you're in the Cedar Rapids area and are looking for a place to stay, this is it. You won't regret it
