HIGHLY Recommend

My (new) husband and I had our wedding here in November. I could not recommend this place enough, the property/staff and everything was absolutely perfect. The venue was spacious, clean and well organized. Every one that was there with us had a great time and there was ALWAYS something to do for any age. Definitely a weekend we will never stop talking about. Highly recommend this venue!

I can’t brag enough about this venue. From excellent communication to the finest attention to detail the hosts were incredible. Not to mention the actual property and amenities. This place was a cozy home, resort, and event facility all wrapped into one. My family of seventy was blown away and me and my husband enjoyed the best untraditional wedding we could have dreamed of.

Fantastic stay!

We had a large family get together and this cabin was beautiful! The outdoor patio areas are perfect for gatherings and the owners Truly have thought of everything we would need while we were there! This cabin is beautiful inside and out and we also enjoyed having the beach available where the kids could kayak and fish anytime. We will definitely be back!

Another Great Year!

We love this place. It is perfect for our family. The days on the lake with the kids playing in the water are precious memories we hope they hold a lifetime. We did family pictures there this year and they were great. We will be back again next year, already booked.

So much to do

Fabulous location

We had our family vacation at the Magnolia House. We rented the pontoon boat to enjoy tubing in the water. This kept the kids extremely happy. At night, we played corn hole, ping pong, cooked out, and laughed a lot. There is a hot tub for your enjoyment, also. It was the best family vacation ever for us.

Extended Family Getaway

Wonderful rental for our large family group. We added the Rose Cottage after the first night to give our group of 36 a few more private bedrooms for the remainder of the weekend. The owner also facilitated the rental of his pontoon boat. The property manager and boat’s navigation system made our experience both safe and enjoyable.

Wedding Weekend

The house was perfectly clean and had everything we needed. It was a huge plus that every full size bedroom had their own full bathroom and that the bunk beds weren’t actual bunk beds but full sized so it fit 2 couples on them. The communication was always fast, pleasant, and clear. We loved our stay! It couldn’t have been any better!

Ladies retreat

We had a great time! Group of ladies from my church enjoyed a great weekend fellowshipping with one another. Accommodations are beautiful. Easy to get to. Only negative i would say is parking is down a hill and across the road. It was raining while we were there so that made it a little inconvenient. Well supplied with everything we needed. Would love to come back in the summer.

Exceeded Expectations!

We brought a group of 20 young adults for a retreat and this well exceeded our expectations! The pictures genuinely don’t even do it justice to how beautiful the house and views are. Very spacious and perfect layout. So many little touches that many probably don’t even notice - but as a fellow wedding venue owner, we noticed!! The owners were so easily accessible, reached out many times to make sure we didn’t need anything, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The very same day we checked out, we booked for next year and added an extra night! You will not regret staying here!

Everything you Need

Great house with lots of outdoor gathering spaces and a great beach and dock area. Well stocked kitchen and lots of nice extras like the industrial ice machine. I brought an inboard ski boat down and was able to load in and out on the ramp but the water is very shallow in the cove. If you plan on skiing or tubing off the dock on a inboard/ V-drive ski boat, it’s probably not ideal (about 4-5’ in spots like the owner notes in the description) but about half a mile down stream you pick up the channel and have ample water depth. Still worked out OK for us, just means a little longer boat ride to get started. On the flip side, the cove is very quiet, not much boat traffic at all given the depths.

Could not have asked for a better experience

In searching for a place to stay for our church's "Girls Getaway" weekend we had a few criteria. Lot of large gathering spaces, hot tub preferred, and lots of things to do in the area that appealed to different personalities (lake, shopping, hiking, etc). This location filled every single thing on our list! We could not have asked for a better experience. From the first communication we were impressed...the house inventory spoke our love language and helped so much! The care of our group was amazing! Then we arrived and I can say nothing else other than everyone kept asking "how do we tell the owners how much we appreciate their attention to detail?" The hospitality boxes in each bathroom, the umbrellas, the stocked supplies, the ease of check in and check out...all.of.it! I could never thank Dave, Ann and those that work with them enough for the weekend they provided the absolutely perfect setting for! Some were talking of coming back with family, renewing vows here instead of the beach setting they'd planned, etc etc...We can not wait to come back! It's perfect in every single way!

Williams Family Vacation

We arrived a couple of hours earlier traveling from Louisiana with several of our elderly family members. We parked across the street in the parking lot from the Magnolia and were greeted by Chris. He informed us that it was early and they had a few things that needed to be taken care of but as soon as they were done he would get us checked in. We told him know worries we would just enjoy the scenery until then. The host from began to the end kept me posted on everything. One of the days we were there it rained she text some activities that we could do. I have stayed some many places and this place tops them all, every need was met and this home was accommodating for our 89 year old to our 20 year old. The pictures does not do this place any justice seeing it in person is so breathe taking. Posting pictures of our family vacation I had many people asking about Magnolia and that it looks so peaceful and relaxing......That's exactly what it is. Would love to have just a ladies vacation here. At this home you only needed to bring clothes

Lifetime Memories’

This house (and accompanying cottage) became our “home away from home”. We are a large family & everyone is spread out geographically. All the siblings are married and there are 15 grandchildren from ages 1- 23! Getting together under one roof is a challenge. I organized our trip in September 2021 and the house I’d booked in Gatlinburg was sold and our reservation was not honored- we didn’t find out until September 2022. By that time, houses that would fit our large family had been booked for Thanksgiving. I expanded my search outside of Tennessee…and BAM! I found this gem. I knew it was the one for us when I saw it (also, the backdrop was gorgeous). I immediately messaged the owners and got a swift reply. In fact, they were quick to respond anytime I contacted them. Also, this house is decorated beautifully! And we were very comfortable hanging out, playing games, and watching TV in the main living area- all 30 of us! The outdoor spaces were well used going for walks, enjoying a bonfire, playing games, and relaxing in the hot tub. The kids under 8 years old had room to run and a great playground to entertain them. I feel like the Cedar Bluff area is a hidden gem! Just a quietly beautiful area; undisturbed by heavy tourism, and with easy access to shopping and restaurants. This thanksgiving wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t for this house and the wonderful people who own and manage it. Thank you for the memories!

Best wedding location ever.

We got married with 30 of our family at the Magnolia House and it was the best week of our lives. The house was AMAZING and PERFECT and BEAUTIFUL in every way. I don't even know where to begin. There were 32 of us, yet there were so many beds, everyone got a comfy place to sleep. The outside area with the covered pergola allowed us to hang out in the fresh air even during rain and we were dry and comfy. And the kitchen... we only catered two nights, so we had to feed all 32 of us for the full week, and the kitchen was large and well equipped. There was an extra fridge and freezer in the garage just a few steps away. We also had access to extra furniture, including white table linens, chairs, tables, and all sorts of decor (little lanterns, too!) that made the wedding so special. There is now a hot tub, which the kids loved. Also, the sand volleyball court. And the dock on the lake and the boat! The place comes with a boat (extra charge, but the boat is RIGHT THERE for you at your own dock). The boat was really the main hit, and we took it out every single day. Finally, Dave and Ann responded to every text and also made sure an additional person was on standby in case we needed anything; so, we had at least two contacts. On day one, we realized we forgot coffee and they brought us some within minutes. Perfection! We booked the adjacent Rose Cottage as well for four extra bedrooms, three baths, and another full kitchen. We celebrated two birthdays there towards the end of our trip and all 32 of us fit just fine in the living room/kitchen area for the party. It's just a few steps from the main house! We cannot say enough about how wonderful Magnolia House was. If you are considering a gathering of family and/or friends for a celebration or just a big vacation, go to this place. You will never forget it!
