"Ligging is fantastisch en zeker met honden heel fijn. Alles omheind, ook de toegang naar rivier en waterval Het huisje is prima maar basic. Als je slecht weer hebt geen bank of comfortabele stoelen. Douchen is het beste onder de waterval want er is weinig druk. Qua kookgerei is het minimaal en we misten buiten wel ligbedden Ondanks de minpunten vonden wij deze plek voor herhaling vatbaar, echt uniek!"

It is a rather large place to stay for just two people as it does have 5 bedrooms and a rather large living area, but we were very happy with it. "Lovely hill top setting in this restored castle village. The apartment is very pretty, and we enjoyed the pool and a soothing spa treatment. The kitchen is small but has what you need. "The house was as described and shown in the images. If you have mobility problems beware the short but relatively steep drive and the 10 or so steps up to the patio and entrance. The weather was pretty hot but the house was naturally cool with thick stone walls. "Unique and wonderful! We stayed here because we wanted to see the flower fields near Casteluccio. We drove up from Rome in about 4 hours through beautiful mountains. This castle (a former defensive fortification) was a breathtaking sight at the end of the drive. We were warmly greeted by the owners, Francesco and his sister Lara. Our baggage was taken up the stairs via an amazing custom monorail. The room was comfortable and cool, the linens were excellent quality, our sleep was refreshing, and breakfast healthy and satisfying. They feature delicious bottled juices. Francesco gave us a tour of the fascinating historical interior rooms including the winemaking room with the grape stomping vats! I highly recommend Castle di Luco, we will treasure our stay here forever! "
