The cabin was very cozy and located on a beautiful lakefront just 10 minutes south of Mackinaw City. Great lakeside amenities, spacious enclosed patio, and interesting artwork throughout. Blustery weather kept us from using the lakefront seating area during our stay but overall the cabin was perfect for everything else we did that weekend.
This was a beautiful stay for my family and I. We were in town for a couple days to visit Mackinac Island. The cabin was spacious and clean. My dad an I also enjoyed the opportunity to take the kayaks out on the lake. Would stay here again.
We really enjoyed our time at this cabin, it was very cozy and had a beautiful view of paradise lake. It was also close and convenient to go to Mackinac city and sturgeon bay. Would definitely stay here again.
We stayed just one night on our motorcycle trip up the coast of Lake MI. The location is beautiful and we loved the cabin. Even the artwork is cool! It had everything we needed and we're definitely planning to come back again!
My son and I absolutely loved everthing about the cabin and the lake. The area is quiet and peaceful. I cannot say enough good things about our experience.
Nice small cabin that overlooks the lake in a quiet area. We had fun using the kayaks/row boat on Paradise Lake. Short drive to Mackinaw City for various fun activities! Thankyou Gary!
Took the family up north to explore the nearby forests with the autumn colors on full display.... Great location right on the lake, restaurants closeby in Mackinac City, and short drive to Wilderness Park and the Tunnel of Trees. WiFi was recently installed which was great but cell service also very good in the area. We will be back!
Lovely. We did miss patio furniture or any seating accommodations for outside but all in all it was Avery lovely stay. Honestly. With the lake in the back yard it is an oasis. Plus you are minutes awsy from as ll the touristy points of interests. We would love to spend a week there in late summer.
Setting & cottage = peaceful and comfortable; hosts = considerate
We enjoyed a peaceful lake setting with sights and sounds of wildlife. (A chipmunk scrambled up into my lap!) We could tell the hosts genuinely try to anticipate their guests’ needs—kayaks, comfortable outdoor furniture, cozy beds, the basic amenities. We’re coming back!
This place is adorable. My girls (age 4 and 7) loved it, it was kid-friendly, cozy, and in a cute area. The helpful suggestions about places to visit were awesome. My 4 y/o said "Best. Day. Ever." Wish we could have stayed longer, would love to go again!
The outdoor patio space overlooking the lake was fantastic. The furnishings were so cozy and comfortable. Loved the record player and board games. It felt nice to unplug and spend quality time together. Thanks again. We hope to make our way back soon.
The stay on Carp Lake was a pleasant stay. The location is great for visiting Mackinaw City and Mackinac Island. It is just a short 10 minute drive. The kitchen was great. The beds, bedding, and pillow were comfortable. The view from the living room and porch is incredible. The only thing I would change would be to make the address pop out a little more. We found the cabin based on the picture on VRBO. It wasn't until we were leaving on the last day that I saw the address on a post.
If you are there for outdoor activities, property is great. Nice screened in porch. Nice deck on the lake. Unfortunately, weather kept us indoors more than we had planned. No tv unless you bring your own hotspot. Living room furniture not so comfy. Cabin could sleep 6 people easily, but bathroom is not equipped for 6. Area is very convenient to Mac City.
This is a charming property, well situated on Paradise Lake, perfect for sunset viewing. The shared living space is quite roomy, however the furniture is not comfortable or conducive to sitting through a movie. There appears to be a wonderful outside terrace overlooking the lake, however, the timing of our visit, October, did not allow us to partake. The kitchen is well appointed, including a toaster and air fryer. There is a washer and dryer, which is a plus. The bathroom is tiny, with no space to stage any items, such as toothbrushes. The space was good for me and my husband. Unfortunately, the bedroom was cramped and the view of the lake from the bedroom was blocked by bunk beds. The main dining table is located on a glassed in, but unheated porch. This property is best suited for warm temperatures and plans for lots of outdoor activities. Be informed, there is no wifi, so bring DVDs or your own hotspot to stream.

Beautiful views//Easy access to Mackinaw City
This place is a nice getaway if you are wanting to unplug from the internet and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Paradise. My son and I enjoyed using the available kayaks and it was a bonus for our stay. While I must have missed the details of no wifi, it turned out to be a good thing for my kids and I. We got to enjoy family time outside and enjoyed playing board games inside in the evening. There is a dvd player that my kids enjoyed watching the movies that the host has available, several kid movies (Garfield & Home Alone were the 2 we watched). I have AT&T cell service and it is spotty so be sure to have your details downloaded before then. The host was kind enough to have an additional key waiting for me when I locked myself out for the day. Additional positives are:
-Comfortable Beds and Linens
-Kitchen Cookware, including an Air Fryer
-Full fridge and freezer
-Beautiful enclosed sun room with screened windows that open
-Close to small market to get the essentials
-Host responds and is helpful and understanding
Drawbacks
-Tub only has a shower option and low water pressure
-The entry door opens from the inside when locked. Make sure to immediately replace your key back to the lock box so you are not in my situation. Luckily the host was understanding and accommodating.
