The perfect launching pad for year-round fun in Tahoe!

The Space:
Welcome to this warm and inviting townhome where you will find two bedrooms, two outdoor balconies, and a dynamic loft space spread out across three floors providing plenty of space for your group of up to 8 to have a comfortable stay. The home features warm wood panel walls and high ceilings, charming mountain decor, and cozy furnishing, providing a cozy place to relax at in-between adventures.

When you enter the home, you will arrive at the lower level, with carpeted stairs leading up to the main floor directly in front of you. Head up these stairs, and you will arrive at a bright, open-concept room featuring the living room/kitchen/dining in one large space. Make your way to the living room where you can relax on the cozy three-person couch or sofa chair as you warm up by the fire. With high ceilings and sliding doors leading out to a small balcony, the space is filled with natural light. The room features a TV perfect for movie nights, or grab one of the books off the bookshelf and curl up with a good book. Connected to the living room is the dining area where you will find a dining table with seating for 6 next to the sliding glass doors, so you can enjoy the view outside while you dine! Or, step outside onto the balcony where you will find patio chairs with views looking out over tranquil nature, making you feel as if you are tucked away in the forest.

Back inside you will find the kitchen just off the dining area where you will find everything you need to prepare a meal for your group. Spacious countertops provide ample space for meal prep, and a full range of appliances including a crockpot will have you whipping up a meal in no time. A kitchen bar with two bar stools is the perfect spot to hang out while you keep the chef company, enjoy a snack, or catch up on some remote work while staying connected to the group. A full bathroom with a single-sink vanity and a bathtub/shower combo is located near the kitchen, convenient for shared use.

If your group is looking for more space to spread out, you will love the dynamic loft area located on the upper floor of the home! Whether you need a space to study or work, extra sleeping accommodations, or an area to lounge, you can do it all in the loft. For those needing to keep connected to work, you will love the two desks with large monitors you can plug your laptops into. Those traveling with larger groups that need extra sleeping space can turn this area into a room and turn the futon into a pull-out bed for a comfortable night’s rest.

When you are ready to tuck in for the night, head down to the ground floor level of the townhome where you will find two comfortable bedrooms. Head to the end of the hallway where you will find the master suite, a spacious bedroom with a queen-size bed, a matching nightstand with lamps, a dresser, and a large closet. This room also includes a built-in vanity nook where you can either get ready for the day or do some remote work. You will love the private balcony this room features, the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the fresh mountain air! An en suite bathroom provides added comfort to this room, so you can easily freshen up before tucking into bed. The bathroom boasts a large single-sink vanity with ample drawer and cabinet space for storage and a large shower with lovely tilework. The bathroom features a second door that can be accessed from the hallway for shared use. A second bedroom is situated at the other end of the hallway, a warm and inviting space with a full-size bed, nightstands, a dresser, and a large closet providing plenty of room for you to unpack your personal items.

A full-size stacked washer and dryer is located in a laundry closet in the hallway near the bedrooms, making it easy to keep up with any laundry needs while on vacation. Guests of the townhome can also enjoy the HOA shared amenities which include a hot tub, a clubhouse, a tennis court, and more.

Guests will also have access to a range of incredible amenities, there is something for everyone at Carnelian Woods! Enjoy the many seasonal amenities that include a pool, tennis courts, a bocce ball and volleyball court, a playground, and a range of games such as a ping-pong table and a horseshoe pit. On nice days, take your exercise outside on the par course, a one-mile loop fitness course with 20 stations. The hiking enthusiasts will love the fact that a trail runs adjacent to the home and connects to a forest road and trail to the Tahoe Rim Trail. For those traveling in the winter months, you can enjoy several year-round amenities located at the lodge which include a gathering space, a pool table and game room, hot tubs, and a sauna.

The Neighborhood:
This cozy townhome is located in the sought-after Carnelian Woods area surrounded by trees and a small stream, so you can enjoy the beautiful nature and peaceful surroundings right outside your door! Within walking distance to the house, you will find an endless network of National Forest trails perfect for walks, runs, and bike rides in the summertime. Just a 2-minute drive, or a short walk, will take you to Patton Beach, a dog-friendly beach that is great for swimming. Nearby Patton Beach you will find more entertainment and dining options such as the famous Garwoods Bar and Grill, a wonderful lakefront dining experience, CB’s Bistro and Pizza for family dinners, Magic Carpet Mini Golf and Arcade for the little ones, and a 7-11 for all of your late-night needs. The beautiful Carnelian West Beach provides another excellent swimming spot just a few minutes drive from the home.

In the winter months, you are only 16 minutes from Northstar, 25 minutes to Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows, and 10 minutes from the Tahoe City Nordic Center where you will find a huge network of trails for XC Skiing or snowshoeing. Those wonderful trails on the National Forest system near the home are perfect for enjoying some XC skiing and snowshoeing in the winter months.

If a little less physical activity is what you are looking for, you are just a 10-minute drive west to Tahoe City and 8 minutes east from Kings Beach. In both places, you will find sandy beaches, farmers markets and major grocery stores, golf courses, small boutique shopping, waterfront parks, golf courses, weekly concerts in the summer, and a wide variety of bars and restaurants. You are also 10 minutes from the Nevada state line, where you will find casinos and concert venues. This home is the perfect launching pad for any Lake Tahoe experience!

Getting Around:
Centrally located off HWY 28 and within walking distance of two public transportation stops, you can comfortably get by without having a vehicle if needed. Just a half-mile from the home is the public transportation TART stop at Hwy 28 at Sierra Boat Co which will take you to locations such as Kings Beach. Also located half a mile from the home is a second TART stop on Hwy 28 at Old P.O. Coffee Shop, from here you are a 17-minute bus ride to Tahoe City. Easily connect to other locations at the Tahoe City Transit Center, where you can find buses to locations such as Northstar California Resort. The home is also nearby a Night Rider bus stop, please note that the night rider bus is only offered seasonally.

Those with a vehicle enjoy being close to HWY 28 and the quick access it provides to the beautiful surrounding areas, with less than a 15-minute drive to Tahoe City and minutes away from the Nevada state line. Just a two-minute drive will take you to Patton Beach, and the popular Kings Beach is an 8-minute drive away. In the wintertime, you are centrally located for skiing all of the best resorts with a 25-minute drive or less from three of the area's best ski resorts, Northstar, Squaw Valley ski resort, and Tahoe Nordic Cross Country Center.

Please note that, like most homes in the area, this home does not have A/C.

Please keep in mind that if you plan to ski, you are responsible for verifying the ski resorts' opening and closing dates.

During the next 2-3 weeks, roof work will be underway at the Carnelian Woods complex, scheduled for completion every day, except the 4th of July, between 8 am and 6 pm. Please note that there may be some noise during this period.

The pool and lap swim are closed for the season and will re-open after Memorial Day 2025, depending on snow and weather. The hot tub is currently open on weekends, with expanded hours planned for ski season. Tennis courts are available seasonally but currently lack lighting, and the lodge is open daily with hours depending on staffing, offering equipment like bocce balls, volleyballs, and an outdoor ping pong area for sign-out. Please note, there is no barbecue area available for renters.

Charcoal grills are strictly forbidden in this county and will result in a $1,500 citation if used.

4-wheel drive or 2-wheel drive tires with snow chains may be necessary for safe travel to this property, even if it hasn’t snowed in a few days.
