This large, comfortable home in the lovely residential neighborhood walking distance to Carmel village was a wonderful spot for our group of 4 adults to gather. Everyone loved the comfortable king-sized beds with very nice linens (and ensuite bathrooms, with very nice towels). There were a couple of minor things missing from the kitchen (ice, towels), and the house had a slight mildewy smell and some little ants in the kitchen. But the house was clean, comfortable and attractive, and the manager had left us a lovely box of chocolates and a bottle of wine, and had obviously sought to make sure there were plenty of cooking utensils (including a roasting pan, as it was Thanksgiving), as well as coffee and filters, and some oils and spices. One other thing, though the ocean (at Carmel Beach) is only about a 15 minute walk from the house, I am not sure why they call it "3 blocks". However far it was, though, it was worth it (just keep in mind you have to come back up hill!--a bit much for my 84 year old mother, but just fine for a couple of ok shape 57 year olds and a 23 year old). Management was very helpful when we first arrived in town with recommendations on where to get groceries and with directions to the house. He also very nicely agreed to let us check out two hours later than the usual time when our flight was pushed back much later in the day.
