The inside of rooms has been completely redone and updated. It's as close to Carlsbad Caverns as you can get with the town of Carlsbad only 15 minutes away. We missed the pool being open by a few days, but it would be awesome for kids!

Easy check in and check out. The rooms were large and layout OK. Ok continental breakfast. Close to Carlsbad Caverns which we were traveling to see

Perfect location to start the next morning at the caverns. Breakfast next door was convenient. Rooms exceeded our expectations in cleanliness and bed comfort. Felt more spacious than the average cheap hotel

Very conveniently located next to Carlsbad Caverns NP and a 30min drive to Guadalupe Mountains NP. This was a perfect base to visit the 2 parks!

It is in a great spot and was convenient for our trip. It is not a new building and has very low showers(i am a tall person). The joining rooms was a great addition to our stay. We moved 1 bed so that our infant wouldn't fall out at night. Thats when we realized they had not cleand under the beds for at least 7 months. We found a purchase slip that was dated 10/03/2023. Thats why the bad review for cleanlieness. There is only 1 restaurant nearby. Opens at 8am and closes at 3pm.

Gnat-type flying insects came out of the sink drain, sink had a smell, and there was no covering for the drain so things could easily fall down it. The bathtub drain was corroded as well as the drain plug, so I was unable to take a bath. Ice machine was broken; we had to walk all the way to the front desk for ice. Staff, while friendly, was unsure about her answers to our questions about the local area and dining. Didn't find out until the night before the nearby restaurant was only serving breakfast and lunch, causing us to have to drive 15 miles back to Carlsbad for dinner. Motel was located conveniently close to the Caverns, however. If amenities (i.e. dining and pool) advertised are not available, location should let guests know more than a day in advance.

The staff in this place is amazing Valerie was great! 10/10 Great place if you're coming to the caverns but the food is very limited only one restaurant, food was ok, the gift shop poaches the prices of everything.

It's literally the only and nearest lodging in White's City (named after Jim White who discovered, explored, and promoted Carlsbad Cavern), just outside the Carlsbad Cavern National Park. All other lodgings you have to drive 30-45 minutes more in Carlsbad. It's spacious, quiet; staff friendly. There are a general store, gift shop, restaurant, and RV park nearby. It's not a place for shopping for night life, but it's great if you just visit the park and have a comfortable lodging.

Pro: The room was clean and the location was great for visiting the Carlsbad Caverns. Con: There wasn’t anything to do around the property. We had to drive to Carlsbad for food. The breakfast here was super basic (muffins, cereal, fruit). The towels were a bit thin.

This was a good inn to stay at during our visit to Carlsbad Caverns. It is right outside the park. They also have a grocery store with basic food. We would highly recommend this inn.

Closest hotel to the Carlsbad caverns and to Guadalupe mountain National Parks. A small convenience store & gift shop is across the street. There is a restaurant on site but it was not open when we were there. The town of Carlsbad is about 20 minutes away. There are a lot of great food options there.

Really nice big room with plenty of space. Everything was updated. Liked the muffin and cereal and fruit option for breakfast. The only negative was that the cable wasn’t working properly, though there was a sign in the room explaining why that was.

So this place is clean but outdated and needs some work done on the inside. The Cleark wants to make sure you credit card is "real" also which threw me off. Not sure what is going on there. It's not the best place to stay if your higher maintenance but is great if your a overlander and able to sleep in places that are not pristine but clean. Very close to the Caverns. If your with wife and kids like me, you may have to stay farther away in a hotel that is newer, but this is clean and close to the national park.

Dog friendly simple motel. Clean, recently renovated room with comfortable beds and good AC. Breakfast, served in the office, is nothing special. The location is great, a few minutes away from Carlsbad Caverns NP, at the junction of the park road and the highway. Guadalupe Mountains NP is about 30 minutes south on the highway and the town of Carlsbad, with restaurants, etc, is about 20 minutes in the other direction.

This is a great place to stay if you are visiting Carlsbad Caverns. The visitor center is only 15 minutes away. Our room was very spacious, clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. We didn’t have breakfast so I can’t comment on that. The Wi-Fi was a bit slow. My only disappointments were that the sheets were kind of thin and pilly, and the towels were woefully thin. My husband thought they were fine, but I have longer hair and had to use two towels to get dry. We would stay here again though if in the area.

Property was dated but clean and safe, and close to the Caverns. Very limited breakfast. TV had few channels and was fuzzy, but we didn't come here to watch tv. Internet service was fine. Easy drive up canyon at sunset to see wildlife.

This hotel looks like it's maybe 70 or 80 years old. Unlocking the front door was very intermittent taking 15 or 20 tries. Two of the towels had long black hairs with fuzz. Disgusting. We awoke to the voices of the couple next door. They were not loud, but we could fully hear every word. There was no sound isolation at all. The breakfast was a selection of sugary kids cereals and some cheap, sugary muffins to take back to your room. Hot water to 15 minutes to get. Only half of one wall outlet was available, and that was turned off by the light switch. No USB outlets anywhere. No elevator to the second floor. There are far nicer and cheaper hotels 15 minutes away in Carlsbad.

This was a very spacious room and the place was a hidden gem that we believe has seen better days and wish it was in it’s heyday because it probably was really something spectacular back then. It’s in a hidden corner of the national parks area so unless you’re traveling there you wouldn’t come across it in regular travels.
