Welcome to "West of the Pecos"! This Southwestern style tiny home is the perfect place to relax! Centrally located in Carlsbad, NM, only 45 minutes away from the famous Carlsbad Caverns! 5 Minutes from downtown restaurants and an amazing local brewery. 1 bedroom, 1 bath, with an additional queen size futon in the living room if needed. Check in easy with custom smart lock code. WiFi, SmartTV, and free parking provided out-front of the unit.

We were very pleased overall with our stay here. The house was well-equipped with towels for kitchen/bath, had nice sheets, extra blankets, & fans. It was easy to use the AC, the sinks & shower were all in good working order, & the appliances were great. The kitchen was well-stocked with usable utensils/tools, & all the knives were sharp, a big plus in our books! The only thing missing that would have been nice to have was black-out curtains. All the extra lights at night from the neighborhood were quite bright, even with the blinds. If not for a less than positive interaction with the host, we would have rated this place five stars. We received an email around noon on our first full day at the rental, citing that the housekeeper had heard howling coming from the unit, & that if we had sneaked a pet in, we needed to discuss this with the owners & a pet fee would apply. No one stopped by, called, or made an attempt to have an actual conversation with us to discuss this accusation. We replied via email, explaining that we had no pets or dogs, and if they wanted to confirm, they were more than welcome to stop by in person to ascertain this for themselves. We received a one sentence reply, apologizing for the confusion. We understand that people have bad days and misunderstandings happen. However, it's not ok to email someone, accusing them of something based on second-hand, word-of-mouth accounts, and then threaten fees, all in one go. That is not professional, nor polite.

Cozy little property with nice amenities! It was easily accessible and provided fans, towels, soap, and coffee, along with everything needed for cooking meals in the kitchen. It was perfect for preparing for hikes in the national parks, relaxing after, and just checking out the area.

Perfect little unit close to restaurants, groceries, Carlsbad Caverns NP, Post Office. Had everything we needed. Yellow Brix was recommended by Lilli and it was phenomenal. We had an issue with a contractor that was working on the property and the property manager was very responsive and we were impressed that we got a personal visit from the owner of the property regarding the matter. Excellent service, great unit and central location!

Softball tournament weekend.

This was the perfect size. Everything went so smoothly. There was plenty of kitchen supplies and bedding. Very cozy and clean stay. The most important thing is staying cool while sleeping and there was absolutely no complaints there.

Perfect spot for visiting the National Parks

It was the perfect size for my wife and I, and was conveniently located to restaurants and shopping for vacation supplies. The house was cozy and very well decorated. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Thank you for a cozy place to stay while I checked out Guadalupe Mountains and Carlsbad Caverns. The bed was comfy, but the bathroom was really small. The shower in the camper I stayed at in Big Bend was bigger than this shower. If you’re looking for a great burger go to Lucky Bull Grill!

Great little stay

Accurate online description of the property. Just enough space for a couple and great value overall. Property was clean when we arrived and check-in was easy. Host was responsive and helpful during our stay. The bathroom is tight but has everything needed for showering, brushing your teeth, and using the restroom. Fully functional kitchen with size fridge was great. Would recommend stay to family and friends. The neighborhood isn't the best but not a huge deal as we were gone from the rental most days at the national parks.

home in Carlsbad

very comfortable home for 2. well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, quiet neighborhood away from busier downtown. we stayed during windstorms, and dust got into the little house, but the air conditioners really helped. there were 2 and very adequate. the host was very prompt to respond to our questions. we enjoyed our stay here

A great little home away from home!

This little home was a pleasant surprise. It surprisingly has everything you could need and feels much bigger than you’d expect! Loved the Keurig coffee maker! It is also right in the middle of town. A short drive to everything and an easy drive to the Caverns & surrounding landmarks. Highly recommended!

Pilgrimage

This trip was unbelievably important in my life. It was *hot*. apparently it was hotter than the usual June, and man o man! This lovely little place was son cool and comfy after being out and about. Clean, cool, beautifully decorated, with a special surprise. There was a box of pancake mix in the fridge and a waffle iron. This place was part of the most amazing trip of my life
