Through the high banks of a coastal farm called Penbanc, tumble wildflowers in summer and rustling sea breezes in winter. This is Penbanc Bach in Moylerove.
Part of an regenerative farm, this ancient stone building offers the character of the past and the style and comfort of the 21st century. Penbanc Bach sleeps 4 people in a super king size master bedroom and the same, or two singles in the second bedroom.
There’s no upstairs here, its layout follows the old dairy as it once was, with steps down to the living room and steps up into the bathroom.
The kitchen and living room are high ceilinged, with oak beams and exposed stone walls, and wooden floors, full of natural light. The living room’s floor to ceiling window is perfect for gazing at the woods below, with a wood burner creating the warmth and light only a real fire can offer.
The kitchen has modern appliances, mixed with vintage wall tiles, a mid-century sofa, and a battered but elegant pine table and chairs. Retro 1970's crockery complement an aged and patterned dresser top, alongside a fully working wind-up gramophone that is ready to entertain the cook and the rest of the guests.
Each bedroom has its own character with the master bedroom containing a 1930’s Italian sleigh-style beds. Bedlinen is hotel quality and recycled wool blankets perch on each bed for those chilly evenings.
The bathroom offers a luxury, walk-in shower with beautiful Morrocan-style tiles and traditional fixtures and fittings. Two radiators mean that in winter one keeps the room toasty, and in summer, the other is ready to dry towels or swimming things.
Outside the living room and kitchen area is a large seating area with parasol, Weber BBQ and firepit. The garden is self contained, with a path leading to the woods and the meadow.
Penbanc Bach is less than 3 miles from the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and the quiet beach of Ceibwr Bay. It’s a 10-minute drive to the renowned town of Newport and its beach, and close to Cardigan town for bigger shops, as well as the food market at St Dogmaels. The Preseli Mountains seduce anyone who visits them and are about 15 minutes drive away, as well as to be enjoyed from nearby views.
Penbanc Bach is part of a working farm with native breed sheep, cattle, pigs, hens, a donkey and two old horses. The owners are always keen to show guests around, explain their farming philosophy and offer a very warm welcome.
A 100% pasture fed meat and free range eggs are available to purchase.
