「Nice 4 star hotel. Clean. Comfortable beds and pillows. Had some trouble finding our reservation upon check in and again at breakfast. It was finally rectified. Breakfast was included and was very good. The restaurant has a very special view of both the river and the ocean. Service was generally welcoming except for delayed checkin because our reservation was not easily found in their system. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. 」

The host/owner, Bob will admit the property needs substantial renovations to the exterior but don't be misled. The property has it's charm and the location cannot be beat for the price. 「My wife and I had a delightful time at the historic Waldo Emerson Inn. The back half was built in 1753 and the front half in the 1780, yet this historic home had all the conveniences of the modern world: snug windows, heated bathroom floor, and easy to control heatng.
