This is a nice house in a nice quiet neighborhood on a canal with a terrific swimming pool that is heated.
The furniture and beds are extremely uncomfortable. Plan to hang out on the patio by the pool. The patio furniture is the most comfortable.
The televisions are micro mini in size - don't plan on relaxing inside to watch a movie. If you do, bring a magnifying glass.
I had no contact with the property management company. They were closed when I arrived. It was slightly confusing - you have to go to a property management office to get the "key code" to access the property. The management office is very close to the house - but was difficult to find in the plaza. Once you get the papers out of that lockbox, then you can go to the house to get inside. It is a combo lock that you enter letters and numbers. There is no actual key.
There are signs posted everywhere in the house with lists of do's and don'ts. For instance - you are NEVER allowed to play music when you are outside in the pool. We ignored that rule and played music at a respectable volume so as not to disturb the neighbors.
Though you are charged for a cleaning fee, you are expected to clean the house. All bed linens and towels, etc. I am not sure why I needed to pay a cleaning fee when I was the person doing the clean up!
There is an awesome restaurant nearby. The Lobster Lady. GO THERE. Terrific fresh seafood and raw bar.
All in all, this was a great getaway. We live in Fort Lauderdale and just wanted a break - hang out in the backyard, swim, play cards and relax.
