Amazing cabin

Doves Rest was an amazing place for our family to stay. The views are unbelievable and the cabin is great! It was a terrific addition to our families summer road trip.

The perfect family getaway

We had such a lovely time. The views were spectacular and although we didn’t cook much, the kitchen was well appointed. The house was perfect for our little family getaway. Couldn’t beat the proximity to the canyon entrance either! We had a great time and definitely hope to be back!

What a View!! Didn’t want to leave

Was as nice as described on the website. View really was spectacular. House is very well stocked, having everything we needed for a great get away. Nice decor, appliances worked well, lots of books and games, and so convenient to the park.

A beautiful views on Palo Duro Canyon

We had a great time in this cabin. Very clean with the beautiful views. We even got a champagne and glasses as a gift. I highly recommend this host and his cabin. We’ll come back for sure.

Very Nice Cabin with Excellent Views

Outstanding. Cabin was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen was probably the most well stocked for any VRBO that we have stayed in. The views overlooking the Canyon were stunning. Even though there were neighboring cabins, very quiet and relaxing. Short drive to the town of Canyon and even shorter drive to the State Park. Highly recommend Doves Rest Cabins.

Girls Trip!

A group of 5 of us drove up from the Austin area to escape for the weekend! What a wonderful cabin with an even better view to adventure from. Right off the back porch you can begin exploring. The views are unbeatable and better than some you get in the state park. Plus the amenities were amazing for us to cook together and enjoy meals, laughs, and good conversations around the dinner table. Hot tub time under the stars after long days hiking in the park were perfect. We even got to view some wildlife up on the property. Will definitely stay at El Coronado again!

The perfect get away

Everything about the house, the service, the view, everything, was perfect. We have vacationed in many homes, this was the best by a long shot. Thank you Doves Rest Cabins!

Amazing Cabin with Stunning Views!

We had a wonderful time in the cabin. We spent 3 nights and never wanted to leave. The cabin exceeded our expectations in every way. Very clean, well-stocked, and the views couldn't be better. Very convenient to the state park, horseback riding, jeep tours, and hiking. We highly recommend staying here.

Anniversary Weekend Getaway

Spent so much time on the back patio enjoying the view. Made a day trip to Palo Duro Canyon State Park because it’s so close. Loved cooking outdoors. Bought steaks and pork chops from WT&M meat market! Only complaint is that the hot tub lights didn’t work and for some reason the electricity would come on and off sporadically throughout our stay. Other than that, it was truly a beautiful place to stay and relax. We highly recommend it.

Adequate House - Can see balloons

You can see the Balloon Fiesta balloons from the upstairs balcony. There are two trees and a rooftop in the way, so you don't see them take off, but they become visible shortly afterwards. The house itself was just ok. Mostly tile floors downstairs (hate tile) and the temperature controls were hard to figure out. No TV downstairs unless you have your own streaming service subscription.
