DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Dunwoody

8/10 Good

"The staff that worked Sat evening I didn’t catch their names but they were great. Both were so friendly and answered any questions I had about the area. They both had great customer service. We didn’t eat at the restaurant at I think $22 per person is outrageous but we didn’t eat get breakfast down the street which was great and we were so full we couldn’t even eat it all. It was a lot cheaper than the hotel. The room was clean besides the shower wall could have been cleaned a lot better. We only stayed one night. Also we turned on the AC but the room stayed hot all night I’m not sure if it wasn’t working correctly or what. Yes the weather outside was cooler but we like it cold when we go to sleep. Other than that everything was great. We would stay here again and if we were staying more than 1 night we would have said something."

8/10 Good

"The hotel and staff were great. The room did not have a microwave so that was disappointing. The biggest issues related to the onsite restaurant, Savor Bar and Kitchen. We prepaid $38 for breakfast buffet for two for Sat and Sun. The service was poor. We waited over 7 minutes to be greeted for seating. As we began to seat ourselves, we were stopped and redirected. Then, once seated, we were seated and abandoned. On two occasions, we headed towards the buffet and were told to wait and someone would assist us. When waitress finally arrived and saw the prepaid card, she told us we could proceed to buffet. Three times I advised that there were no glasses for juice in buffet area and finally took an empty water glass from empty table to get juice. Waitress never returned to check on us, remove dirty plates, etc. We had to seek out her to see if we had to sign receipt before we left but was told by another waitress that we could leave. We didn't leave a tip primarily because service was poor but also we didn't have a bill to add to. On Sun, same waitress greeted but other served us. She was more attentive. We added an item to our meal resulting in our receiving a bill to sign. Interestingly, the buffet was $30 for 2 (not the $38 we prepaid), hence a prepaid 27% tip for poor service. That explained why we were not shown a bill and why the waitress was so nonchalant about providing professional service. She was paid her tip in advance."
