"We checked in on Christmas Day 2025 and stayed 1 night. The hotel is in the heart of beautiful downtown Red Wing, MN. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays and was warm and inviting. We had brunch at the beautiful Scarlet Kitchen and Bar and the food and service could not have been better. The restaurant was busy, yet the vibe was elegantly relaxed. Our room was a beautiful union of history in modern times. The beautiful 4-post bed was so comfortable and I need to know where I can get a set of those bed sheets! So buttery soft—best night’s sleep! I will be back St. James Hotel. Highly recommend. Beautiful and quaint shops and dining on-site and within walking distance in Red Wing. Beautiful and historic."

"Great place to gather with family to celebrate the New Year! Pool area was so great for our family to play games, swim or sit in the hot tub and watch the two big TV’s. We even spotted some deer on the golf course. Dual kitchens and living rooms were an added bonus with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all 11 of us. We’d definitely recommend this place and would look forward to going back."

"This is living in the lap of luxury! Our family of 15 stayed here for Thanksgiving. Nicole has thought of everything in this beautifully appointed home. It was very spacious with room for everyone - we even had a couple of extra bedrooms since our 7 dwarves (grandkids) all slept in the loft. Having our own pool that comes equipped with towels, floaties and dive toys was heaven! The huge 6 burner stove was awesome and we could fit 6 9x13 pans in the oven - perfect for a holiday meal. The beverage area, work space, nook (we did a few puzzles) were outstanding. Obviously I can't say enough good things about this property. We loved being out in the country but only a few miles from a convenience store and 8ish miles from Red Wing. Thanks Nicole, we will be back!"
