The room was really nice (loved the waterfall shower and huge comfy bed), as was the hotel. Had an issue with the fridge not working, this was replaced immediately. Staff were very welcoming, professional and helpful. Food was delicious and there was a wide variety of things to eat and drink. Had a thoroughly enjoyable and restful stay ☺️

Fair but needs a good clean/repaint and some TLC
Our room had a strong damp smell, with patches of damp evident on the ceiling etc. The bathroom looked nice, but two wall lamps were very dirty. Shower was good, and the was a pull out washing line for guests to use. There was bare wiring on display over the dressing table, and the dressing table mirror was unusable due to large patches of deterioration. We had a ground floor room, with a small terrace outside (not very clean or inviting, but ok to sit if you are a smoker. One day we came back to the room and noticed a piece of metal lying on the ground. We looked around and saw it was a spike which had fallen from the balcony upstairs! Could have been dangerous had we been sitting there when it fell. I reported to reception who did take note and removed it, and other corroded spikes Which may have fallen later, when we returned next day. Also ground floor very noisy with motorbikes/scooters etc starting up outside the door, day and night The swimming pool is on the first floor and was very dirty, with a layer of sand at the bottom and a dirty water mark right around, at water level. There were just 3 sun beds. I wouldn’t use it and wouldn’t recommend others to use it either! The pool table has a huge tear in it, making it unusable - sorry forgot to take photos of these. Breakfast is served in the restaurant attached to the hotel and was good, with a good choice of options.

Okay-okay!
Firstly let me put down the good things about this place which is it's proximity to the beach. Also, we found the rooms to be adequately spaced. They have a South Indian restaurant on the ground floor and must say their food preparation is delicious. Despite all of this, we still felt a bit disappointed and below are the reasons- 1. The bathrooms- It felt stinky all through our stay with the sink blocked (Highly improper drainage system) 2. Cleaning- They don't Voluntarily clean your room which I found pathetic. Cleaning can happen only between 10am to 5pm and that only when you have given them prior intimation. Also, the reception area is in a Secluded corner away from the main passage way and so there are chances that you totally miss out on informing the reception guy about cleaning while you move of the room in the morning and land up in a mess when you return back. 3. The rooms are facing the main road which happens to be busy during the day and noisy in the night with sounds of speedy vehicles disturbing your sleep.

2+ Star Hotel, no Way 4 Star. Pool Pathetic!
It’s listed as 4 Star, but I would say more like 2 + Star at most. Manager Nigel Lobo was wonderful Guy and it was clean room with Fridge and Tea/ Coffee facilities . Pool is a bit of a joke as too small. It’s worth probably around half of their asking room rate.

Not worth the price.... Ameneties described on the website were not available there like pool was very small and was told to be under maintenance. You should conpensate us for the same as swimming pool was a major decisive factor in choosing this hotel...

Value for money stay by the beach
The hotel is a stone's throw away from the beach and is value for money. Don't expect too much, the rooms are basic, yet comfortable. The breakfast included is more than enough - two people could eat it!

This hotel made our experience to India! All the staff were so friendly and always smiled and said hello when you walked by. The food and drinks in the restaurant were amazing. Our stay at Zense
rooms cleaned every time you asked. The room boys were very helpful .Excellent customer care skills from all the room boys that that worked whilst we stayed 202. on arrival 2am reception couldn't be bothered we paid extra to get in our room when we got to our twin room it was not ready work had been done in there with grout from tiles all over the place in bathroom it was dirty dusty I refused to sleep in there the male receptionist was not happy he gave us another room muttering under his breath..201 a double I didn't want to sleep in same bed with my friend who has C.O.P.D. breathing difficulties I told receptionist that. his reply in rude manner that is only room. he got a young boy to carry cases to lift boy was busy playing on phone and was upset that he couldn't carry on with phone. I was not a happy I was tired after travelling and awoke to someone banging on door saying we have to vacate this room as it was booked for another person. had to go back into 202 which was now clean but a lot of grout dried on tiles covering bathroom. was not happy how this problem was dealt with after traveling all through the night before to be put through this bad experience from reception who later informed me was the night reception manager. this person was rude not helpful at all I felt that we were just in the way. Too Dark
We pre advised the hotel of our arrival time for 02:30am, which we had emails back saying not a problem. We also asked the hotel if they could help us with transportation due to a taxi strike in GOA and especially candolim. to which we got a sorry!! NO msg back. The room was large but, dark, not enough light, the room card holder that supplies electric to the room hummed very loud which we reported to reception a couple of times over the course of our stay(2wks) and was eventually bypassed. The fridge in the room didn't cool enough for our drinks to be cold for the next day. The restaurant (south) that provided breakfast DOESN'T OPEN till 08:00am not 07;30am as advertised on the back of the room door as we found out on our second day staying at the hotel to our disappointment when we was going out early on a trip. The waiters was a bit abrupt when i asked for 2 eggs on toast and they struggled to understand english very well neither. So we ate breakfast (full english) around the corner every day in a very nice restaurant. The bathroom was large and bright with plenty of hot water. Daily House keeping is only available on request by swing ticket on your door. toilet paper needs to be asked for as well. The pool on the second floor is not bad to cool you down on a hot day, the pool bar as adverse is not used. plenty of sun lounges & chairs. There is also a pool table. There is a safe in the bottom of the wardrobe and not very much cupboard or drawer space.

Modern hotel in a good area
The hotel is modern..... only built 2 years ago. We arrived in the early hours and were shown to our rooms. The rooms are modern and nicely decorated. There was a welcome drink for the guests. My husband and I were staying at the front of the hotel and this could very noisy with the beeping of horns and on some nights the barking of dogs. However, this is not the hotels fault. We had 3 rooms altogether as we were a party of four. One of the party complained of a damp smell in his room and also the same smell was in the lift. We did not have any damp smell in our room. A few lessons in being able to clean up after people have been out on the terrace would not go amiss .... the tables by the plunge pool never got a clean in the two weeks we stayed ... I have stayed many times in Goa and staff always ensure the tables, chairs etc are cleaned daily. All in all I would stay at this hotel again, but request a room nearer to the back.

Bra hotell till bra pris med nära till stranden
Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Läget var utmed den stora gatan men vi stördes inre av trafiken. Det gjorde att det var nära till shopping. Det låg också nära beachen. Tog ca 10 min att gå dit. Wi-fi fungerade bra. Lite för hög volym på luftkonditionering och fläkt. Frukosten kunde vara mer varierad men den var ok. Fick ha väskorna i receptionen när vi checkat ut i väntan på att åka till flyget. Kunde under tiden gå mer till beachen och bada. Vi fick använda duschen och handdukar vid poolen för att Duscha av oss saltvatten och sand innan hemresan.

Decent Hotel located on main road.
First stay at this hotel. I'd stay there again. On the main road, it's five min's from Candolim in a taxi or tut-tut. The buses stop outside going to all the locations in the area. It's located about 5 min's walk from the football pitch/market Candolim. It's about 15mins brisk walk to 'Newtons' supermarket in Candolim. We had an executive room which although quite small it suited our needs. There is a balcony area with a small pool which is really more a splash/cool down pool than a swimming pool. There are nice chairs and lounge chairs to read/sunbathe. There is also a pool table. This area was hardly used in the two weeks we were there. It was nice to come back from the beach and chill on the balcony. The hotel is behind 'Southi' restaurant which serves very nice food and was busy in the evenings. Breakfasts were good and the staff were very good although make sure you make it clear how you require your food re spicey or not. I didn't know what all the descriptions on the menu meant and although we asked for mildly spiced the two dishes we got were very hot by UK standards. The banana/strawberry daiquiri's were excellent. I'd stay here again.

vorrei raccontare la mia esperienza con l'hotel : appena arrivati ci hanno assegnato una camera che aveva l'aspetto di una cella lamentandoci con gli addetti ci hanno assicurato che quella era la prenotata; niente aveva in comune con le foto che la rappresentavano sul sito. Solo dopo l'intervento di expedia (da noi contattata) siamo stati presi in considerazione ed avuto il cambio di stanza, inoltre, nonostante avessimo prenotato la camera con la colazione compresa, il gestore si è rifiutato di considerarla nel pacchetto .

Hotel close to the beach
Good location, nice bathroom, small bedroom, staff within the hotel were nice however the security staff when negotiating the price of a bike became rude and annoying. Kept going back and forth with the price. There was a very friendly member of staff, he was hosting the restaurant also, we don't remember his name but he wore a black shirt and trousers. He always greeted us with a smile.

hotel was good in terms of comfort. But staff is not customer oriented. They are not at all cooperative. Parking is not available. I found restaurant staff rude and they were serving like they doing this service free of cost.Hotel can improve on their service and behavior of staff.

A little improvement would be enough.
Check in was smooth and fuss free. Unfortunately they did not take all the documentation at the same time and we were called the next day to go to their office - Form C. Housekeeping was swift and very efficient. Only minus was our unit is on the ground floor where the door faces the strip of land leading to their parking area. Housekeeper kept our door open when he walked out to collect items he forgot to bring ie towels etc. We felt safer to wait for them to finish in case some stranger slips into our room while housekeeper is gone. Room service food was nice but the service needs improvement. Serving soups but did not ensure to bring spoons. Ordered in their local language but still the wrong food came. Above said, we like the hotel for the location and size of the room. Will consider staying there again.

Clean decent hotel at an affordable price. Located on Candolim main road the hotel offers a small swimme look as well. The attached restaurant offers a good variety of south specialties.

Poor customer service, good only for short stay.
We stayed for 2 nights and weren't really happy with the service provided. we tried to order room service but the phone did not work. They said they would replace or fix the phone but never did. Also half of the items on the room service menu were not available. When we were eating in the hotel restaurant downstairs my girlfriend found shards of glass in here icecream. We let the staff know, they only offered to replace the icecream, no apology or discount of any kind offered. Very poor customer service. The room was ok and comfortable enough to for a short stay. The pool they have is incredibly small though, not really worth having.

Good Clean Rooms. Internet could be better. Need more restaurants but not a big issue as plenty around.
