"The rooms have been upgraded and are kept very clean. In past visits there used to be poolside and beachside service. That has since been removed. I wish that it would be brought back. There used to be food rotations on a daily basis in the buffet area. It seems that it is the same food over and over again. The lunch area has the same few food items everyday."

"I love this place! We traveled in September so it was less crowded. The food was amazing and the staff was welcoming. Everything was within reach and nothing was difficult to plan or look for. The only issue I had was ants in our room but once I told the staff they took care of it right away. Came back to my room and no more ants."

"We had an overall very good experience at Hotel Bosque del Mar. When we arrived, we decided we really wanted an oceanfront room, and since we were visiting during low season, the staff was very accommodating and helped us upgrade later that day. The upgraded room was beautiful, clean, and directly facing the ocean, with a lovely outdoor bathtub that made it feel extra special. The property itself is very peaceful, and the beach was definitely our favorite part. The sunsets here are absolutely gorgeous—we even had one evening where we could see a beautiful sunset and a rainbow at the same time. The beach was great for walking, and there were chairs available outside for hotel guests to relax and enjoy the view. We also enjoyed the second-floor area with the pool table, where we spent some time playing, having drinks, and relaxing. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced, and we also enjoyed an appetizer from the bar. The staff throughout our stay was friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a nice and relaxing stay, and we would recommend Hotel Bosque del Mar, especially if you are looking for a beachfront property where you can enjoy some truly beautiful Costa Rican sunsets."

"Ocho is an amazing place. We truly had the best time staying here. The staff goes ABOVE and BEYOND. From the pool to the bungalows it was so well decorated and such a cute place. The breakfast is amazing every morning, The beach is clean. I HIGHLY recommended. Giovanni, Elsa, Nancy, David, we can’t thank you guys enough for making our stay memorable. 5/5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"
