All the reviews pretty much tell you the negatives and positives. It is an old property and at the ocean so you have mold (back porch) and stuck screens. The garage lights were out. No paper towels but I brought some. The bed was comfortable, which is important. We were looking for a great location and enough room for 4 couples. This was perfect. It was my 70th birthday with all my children so I was very happy. We want to do this every year so that should tell you something! Moonstone Beach is magical!

The house's location is incredible, literally steps from Moonstone Beach. If you are hoping for lots of walks along the beach, this is an ideal location! Within five minutes of walking out the front door, you can be down on the beach getting your feet wet and looking for pebbles, shells, and sea glass. It's a 10-minute walk along the boardwalk to Madeline's on Moonstone for coffee or wine.The house is spacious, clean, and orderly. Two bedrooms upstairs along with living room and kitchen, and two bedrooms downstairs. The furniture and fixtures are basic and lived-in. We had hoped to do movie nights, but since the TV was small and the seating uncomfortable, we didn't spend much time in the living room. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, cookware, and basic appliances. Everything is a bit worn, but functional. Fridge was sparkling clean.Bathrooms are very small, very little counter space. No full length mirror in the house. Towels and bedding were good quality and abundant. Mattresses were new-ish and firm.Suggestion: It would be very helpful to include a mirror and hooks (or coatrack) in the downstairs entryway.Overall, it was a great stay! Having four en-suite bedrooms this close to the beach made it well worth it!

Beach Getaway

This house was absolutely perfect for 4 couples. Everyone loved having their own bathroom. The house was very spacious & the views were spectacular. Would definitely recommend this house for future travel.

Perfect spot

Our family enjoys a holiday meet-up every year. First time in Cambria. This property was the perfect (and hard to find) 4 ensuite bedrooms and a very cozy large room for an early celebration. Walked the boardwalk, strolled the town, and visited Hearst Castle. Highly recommend.

Adult Cousin Reunion

8 of us adult girl cousins spent 4 nights and 5 days at this lovely home. The home was comfortable and the location perfect for us. Dinning was in walking distance and the town of Cambria less than a 10 minute drive. We all had a great time!

Gorgeous View

This house was perfect for our Dec. get away with friends. With 4 couples it was great to each have a bedroom with attached bathroom. The view is amazing, and the sunsets gorgeous. We enjoyed walking along the boardwalk and/ or beach which is just across the road. The house was well equipped. I brought my own hairdryer which was good, since I did not see one in the smaller upstairs bathroom and my friend in the smaller bedroom downstairs also did not see one. The only reason we would not give this house 5 stars is that the kitchen and bathrooms are from 90’s or early 2000’s, but everything was well maintained and clean.

Can’t beat the location

Walking distance to Moonstone Beach, you really can’t beat the location. The house was perfectly setup for entertaining our extended family. The upstairs balcony was perfect for watching the sunset with a cocktail. Would totally stay here again as 4 bedroom places up there are a premium.

Great location & view

We really liked the location of the property. It’s right near moonstone beach. It has a great view however the windows were really dirty. We enjoyed the size of the kitchen, dining & living area. We appreciated the 4 bedrooms & bathrooms. We were awakened at 7:00 am on Tuesday by a high pitched alarm. We couldn't find what it was so we had to call the 24 hour service number. A repair man came out and fixed a water leak behind the refrigerator. The alarm was a leak detector. It was fixed quickly. Overall we liked the property.

Siblings and Spouses Reunion

There were 8 of us (4 siblings and their spouses) that stayed at the Cambria house for a week. The house had 4 bedrooms each with its own bathroom, so it was perfect for us. There are two bedrooms downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen, dining room and living room are also upstairs. The view of Moonstone Beach from the living room is beautiful! The view would have been better, if the windows were clean. All of the windows and sliding glass doors need to be cleaned! The sliding glass doors were extremely difficult to open. The wheels need to be replaced.

Cousins retreat

Had a fantastic time. The house was great and the view was amazing. Had dinner at Sow’s Ear and music at the Lodge. This was everyone’s first time beside me. I love Cambria. Memories we made.

Friends Get-Away

Although we all had a nice time away, there were some concerns and issues. One major one being the refrigerator/freezer was kind of warm when we arrived and then next day it was not cooling. To the property management’s credit, when I called the emergency number the gentleman I contacted did respond immediately and agreed unit was broken. He brought blocks of ice for both refrigerator and freezer sections. The property manager phoned the next day (day 3) and a replacement refrigerator was at unit when we returned. It was downstairs and was a refrigerator only, no freezer section. We never heard from them again. No follow up. The garage door opener quit working day 3 as well. The unit does need some maintenance overall. Slow drains, sliders sticking, hazy slider north door, broken items in cupboards, not enough hangers, etc. A minimum of 5 days booking turned out to be 1 day too long for most of us. Owners my want to reconsider this. I found it odd that there were no Vrbo comments since May as the unit was rented during June and July. Would we return to this house, probably not. For the daily rate, we all expected a bit more. Did we enjoy our stay yes, even with all my comments.

Fantastic location

We celebrated our friends 70th birthday. This is a nice, clean house - perfect for 3 couples. Very comfortable beds (super important). Kitchen very well stocked. Views of ocean wonderful and easy access to boardwalk for a walk or run.

Beach house was great . Easy access to the beach. House was well stocked with anything you could need. Could you some updating on front door lock and sliding doors were hard to open .

Property was fine except for a lack of water pressure. If 2 people tried to shower at the same time both shower hears would only have droplets of water. Flush the toilet and the person showering lost all water pressure.

Wonderful stay

We loved the location of this property. It is in walking distance of 2 great places to eat, a lovely clothing and gift shop next door and you have a great view of the ocean from the balcony. We could hear the ocean when we fell asleep at night. We will definitely be back.

Great location

The house was perfect for our group of 6 old friends. Four beds and four baths are hard to find in such a great place with enough room to move about, sit and relax, and visit places close by, especially Moonstone Beach. The only complaint would be that the windows to the million dollar view were very dirty and should have been cleaned.
