I booked something last minute near the airport as I had a long layover. Before booking, however, I contacted the hotel to make sure I could get an early check in for 1 o’clock. The man I spoke to basically told me he could guarantee to get me in a room by 1PM, but to make the reservation first and then call back so they could put a note on my file. I made sure it was okay I made this booking through Expedia, which he said was fine. When I called back to have the note put on the file, he couldn’t see my reservation yet, but said to call back in a little bit. When I called back, I spoke to a woman who would not let me speak, and kept cutting me off very time I tried to speak. She basically said she couldn’t guarantee an early check in and still couldn’t see my reservation. Our conversation finished, and I ended up calling back to ask another question, only for her to pick up the phone, and hang up on me. This lady was very rude.
Fast forward to check in day, I was able to get in at 1 like they said which was great. We get to our room to relax, and luckily we were there just to get some sleep. The counter in the bathroom felt grimy, you could see stains on the tables next to the bed as if there were sticky cans left there for days. I ended up taking a Lysol wipe and wiping down the surfaces. We ended up getting something to quick and laid down to nap. But were woken up not once, but twice by the staff. Never again.
