Cala de Finestrat

This was an ok place to stay. The location was convenient to the city centre but wasn't in a great area. We got a taxi from the airport which cost about 27 euro but I dont think we could have found it by ourselves at night! Our room was on the very top floor on the terrace so we ended up carrying our luggage up two flights of stairs. There was a lift for the other flights. Our kids were on a sofabed. Our room was clean and was cleaned every day but the air con did not work so it was uncomfortably hot at night. When we mentioned this to reception they just said it worked. On reflection, we should have pushed them harder about this. We did not have breakfast in the hotel. There are lots of lovely cafes nearby. Overall I would say this hotel did the job but wasn't amazing.

The pool area needs upgrades. Hotel needs to find a mechanism when the winds are a little strong there is shade provided that can withstand winds without having to shut off umbrellas/shade all together. Stayed for 9 days and every day the umbrellas were closed. Too hot to stay this way by the pool
