This home will re-open beginning June 1st, 2026 with a new pool, hot tub, and oceanfront location! Buxton experienced erosion in late 2025, subsequently, this home has been moved from its original location to a new location to account for the rising tides. This home is still in great condition with excellent views of the Atlantic Ocean in Buxton.

Located in Buxton, you will spend time on one of the most prized beaches of Hatteras Island near the renowned Cape Point. Hang loose with all the outdoor entertainment that Surfside Retreat has to offer! Kick back with a drink in the shaded lounge area. Whip up some fresh local fish for the whole family on either the gas or charcoal grills! Need a lift?

Entering the first level of the home, a rec room provides wall to wall oceanfront views as you shoot pool. A wet bar offers full size refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher to make mid-day and late-night snacking convenient. You will find two bedrooms on this level - A King bedroom with deck access, and a kid-friendly bunk room with two Pyramid Twin bunks. There is a full shared bathroom in the hallway.

Head upstairs to the second level of the home and you will find four King En Suites, each with access to a deck, and one with handicap features. Every bedroom in the home has its own TV!

On the third level of the home, you will find a great room which boasts vaulted ceilings and wall to wall windows to ensure unobstructed, pristine ocean views! A King En Suite with a walk-in tile shower and dual vanity, can be found on this level. Watch the morning news on the large screen home theater system while relaxing on the plush couches. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen is furnished with two refrigerators, two dishwashers, double wall ovens and a long breakfast bar that seats five. There is plenty of seating for larger groups at the main dining table which seats another 10. Pour some drinks and relax on the expansive sun deck, accessible from the great room, which provides unobstructed views of the Atlantic which will surely leave you awestruck.

Surfside Retreat is pet-friendly, so there is no need to leave your pooch at home! You can bring up to two dogs to our pet-friendly property. No cats or other animals, dogs only.

Private unheated pools will open on April 16th and close on October 1st. Hot Tubs are available year-round. Pools and hot tubs are cleaned weekly and no later than 6pm on check-in day. Vendors are subject to enter backyard to clean the pool and/or spa on scheduled cleaning days. No pets allowed in pools.
