If you need the basics; a bed, a bathroom, a shower, very close to the train station, then the Grand Hotel serves those requirements. While the decor, carpeting, etc. has seen many years of service, overall the place was clean and tidy. Manage your own expectations appropriately and you’ll have no issues. "

"We stayed in a family bedroom that was very spacious, with beds for four, plus a comfortable sleeping couch and a table that seated four. The hotel sits on a hilltop with a beautiful view over the harbor. Breakfast was excellent—truly the best I’ve had in Sweden."

"The staff were very friendly and understanding to us as non-Swedes there for Midsommar. Rooms were clean, plenty of dishes, washing machine worked (no dryer, line dry); shower good quality though a little tight on space; dishwasher and fridge worked very well. We had a miscommunication about the need to "book" a breakfast spot when breakfast is an option, but they quickly accommodated us and we were grateful. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again."
