I can’t say enough positive things about this hotel. As a solo woman traveler safety is my number one concern and I felt incredibly safe here. The property is extremely clean. The staff is wonder and your host Ganesh and Saroj are wonderful and will ensure you have a pleasant stay- along with the rest of the staff. This is definitely an oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Thamel, Kathmandu!

I picked this hotel out of proximity to restaurants, LOD club and shopping. It was the right choice for that! Breakfast was served each morni by starting at 6:30am. I liked that part. Rooms are basic but nice for what they have. The TV was helpful to watch after a long day around town. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, I would stay here again and felt safe and taken care of.

After visiting Bhaktapur, we took a bus up to see the ancient Hindu Vishnu temple Changu Narayan before it closed. It is considered to be the oldest temple in Nepal with pieces dating back to 325 A.D.

We were lucky because it had just been storming hours before but we managed to see this sunset. This overlooks the Changu village.

Warning: there seems to be a "tourist price" for these buses. We found out where everyone is charged 15-20 RPS we were charged 50. They do this because you can't understand any better. The difference in US dollars is only cents haha but still, I hate that feeling of being ripped off =S

Changu Narayan Temple

You can learn about the history of Changunarayan with a stop at Changu Narayan Temple. Amble around this culturally rich area's picturesque gardens, or seek out the hiking trails.

Rebuilding the temples destroyed by the 2015 earthquake in Nepal. It's been years since it happened but they are still rebuilding. Some temples are easier to build than others. There's something magical about walking somewhere so ancient with people living normal lives.
