The lodge is in a good place. The people at the reception could be more friendly. The waitress at breakfast time was very friendly and polite. Room quite old but surrounded by trees and forest. Good place to start the walk in the park.

Gorgeous location & Bryce Canyon is breathtaking! The lodge setting reminded me of the camp in The Parent Trap. I’ll be returning to this resort. ♥️

Being that close to the rim was worth every cent! Monte at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable! The decor is dated, but please don’t update! Loved the feel of times gone by. The restaurant in the lodge was wonderful for dinner. I had the salmon and my husband had the pork chop. We were skeptical, but had a great meal. Jamie was an awesome server. Bryce Canyon exceeded all expectations.

Enjoyed the nostalgic ambiance of the old hotel. The great advantage of staying here is it’s close proximity to trails an viewpoints. A major advantage if the park is crowded. The restaurant is also convenient, but don’t expect more than an average culinary experience, Staffing was spotty, ranging from very helpful to ‘I’ve had to deal with too many tourists’. Overall a good experience. I would go back.

Functional room. No A/C but they did have a portable electric fan. Staff OK, not great - feel like a number vs. valuable guest. Food was good. Ample parking. Great location

The staff was very nice and the lodge is well maintained. The restaurant was great and convenient. The WiFi didn’t work well in our room (Sunrise Motel building) and there was no TV; there’s also no air conditioning in the rooms. It cooled down outdoors at night although the room didn’t cool down even with the window & screen door open and fan going.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sunrise Hotel in Bryce Canon. Room is set up to give you a cabin feel and has a back porch to sit on. Our only complaint was that we couldn't control the AC but with cool temps at night we enjoyed sleeping with the window open and fresh air. We requested a ground level floor since there isn't an elevator to the second floor. Park is beautiful.

You are literally a 3 minute walk from sunrise and sunset point. The parking lot was full for people not staying at the hotel by 9 am. HIGHLY recommend. There is no ac here, so just be prepared but the canyon does get cool at night and you can open the windows. Super great location if you want to stargaze and breakfast was decent. It’s a must do!

Positives: great location and clean Negatives: room was very dark, needs more lighting and/or brighter bulbs, very dated, unusual coffee maker that needs instructions Other info that was a surprise: no air conditioning, no television in room, did not realize room was not in main lodge

We stayed at The Lodge at Bryce Canyon and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was great, and the location right inside Bryce Canyon National Park was absolutely amazing and incredibly convenient. However, we were very surprised when we arrived at the gate and were told we would need to pay $100 per person to enter the park and access our hotel. We had already paid for our accommodations and had not been clearly informed beforehand about this substantial additional cost. We explained to the gate attendant that we genuinely had no idea about the fee. Thankfully, she was extremely understanding and kindly allowed us to enter without paying, which we truly appreciated. The lodge itself and its location were wonderful, but any significant additional entrance or access fees should be clearly communicated before guests book, not discovered upon arrival at the gate. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend the lodge, but definitely confirm any park entrance fees beforehand so there are no unexpected surprises.

The best part about staying at The Lodge at Bryce Canyon is the location. Right on the rim, walk to a lot of trailheads, short walk to watch sunset and sunrise. It's a 100 year old property so it's quite rustic with no A/C. Even though it was July and very warm, this did not prove to be an issue as it still cools off at night and there was a ceiling fan. It was generally clean, however, the in-room refrigerator was not cleaned out from the previous guest. An open container of salsa was not very appealing. Our key did not originally work on the door which necessitated a trip back to the lodge. The staff we encountered were fine but not outstanding. Given all of this, I would still stay here again because of the location.

The accommodations were rustic, and there are no typical amenities like a pool, but I rated amenities as a 5-star because of the park itself. The lodge is right there in the middle of things, a 10 minute walk to Sunrise Point and the Rim Trail. We were too early in the season for the restaurant but they brought a food truck in for breakfast. Easy to find (in the daylight) and parking was easy. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
