アットホームなB&B

家族で切り盛りするB&Bですが、設備も綺麗にされてます。またこじんまりとしたレストランも併設されており、昼、夜ゴハンはそこでいただけます。ベルギービールも飲めます。市内からは車で20分ほどですが、辺りは森にかこまれており、トレッキング等も楽しめます

Personal/Inhaber sehr höflich und hilfsbereit. Ruhig ausserhalb eines Ortes von Wald und Wiesen gelegen. Parkplätze vorm Haus, etwa 15 min. Fussweg zum Bahnhof. Zimmer ordentlich und sauber. Frühstücksbuffet.

Great concept, but not well operated. Place needs a good scrub - patios have cigarette butts on the patio space and the bathroom tile grout has mold in the shower area. Our toilet needed the supply line opened and closed to operate. Repairs required.

Subliem voor fiets en wandeltochten. Het complex ademde een plezierige open atmosfeer en de ligging van de kamer was heel privé. Jammer was dat we er niet konden eten, want dan moet je wel de fiets of de auto even pakken.

Super nice place.

Very nice place situated next to a beautiful forest. The train station is 5 minutes walk and you can be in Brussels city in 45 min. Super friendly staff. Locally there is plenty of nice food and drinks. Perfect for a relaxing weekend.

Amazing location loved it.

It was the first time I booked a hotel outside if citycenter. I'm hooked , the location was amazing the owners were friendly and overall I enjoyed my stay . Will definitely go there again. The city close by had great food . If you look to wake up and go for a walk in a forest this us a great place to stay. They've got a pony make sure you give it an apple or something.

Prachtig verblijf in het bos gelegen

Kleinschalig familiebedrijf. Prachtig opgeknapt onderkomen aan de rand van een bos. Ontbijt is ruim voldoende en een diner is ook mogelijk.Restaurants en ander vertier is wat verder weg.

Muy cómodo y espacioso.

Muy agradable, atendido por los propios dueños (muy amables), lugar amplio y bien aseado, muebles bien cuidados, espacioso. Un poco lejos del centro de la ciudad de Bruselas.

a Classic -Home a way from home

The atmosphere at B&B Hippo-Droom was really a classic "home-a-way-from-home", which made our last days in Belgium a perfect finish after three years in Waterloo/Belgium. We can recommend B&B Hippo-Droom as the first or last "home" if you are moving to or from Belgium, or if you are just visiting Belgium for anyother reason and need a place to call home for some nights. The closeness to R0 (motorway) makes Hippo-Droom very accesible.

Place for relax

It is not far away from the city, but we enjoy the nature around the area. The host was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable with stylish design. Strong recommend, and will surely come back next time.

Very welcoming - made me feel at home.

I very much enjoyed my stay. Everyone made me feel very welcome. The room was spacious, bed very comfy, and wifi strong. I shall definitely be going back.

Heerlijk ongedwongen hotel op schitterende locatie

Zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel (eigenaren?). Het was slecht weer en ik kreeg een paraplu en werd begeleid naar mijn kamer waar ik uitleg kreeg over alle voorzieningen etc. Mooie kamer met uitstekende wifi. Heerlijk in het bos gelegen, en toch relatief dicht bij Brussel. Barretje die draait op 'trust' (zelf pakken en opschrijven) draagt bij aan prettige sfeer. Er loopt een spoorlijn ca. 100 meter achter het hotel, maar zelfs met het raam open had ik daar weinig last van.

Endroit très agréable, et des propriétaires trsè accueillant. Dommage que le bruit des avions viennent perturber le calme des lieux, par contre proche de l'aéroport ce qui a un côté très pratique !! Cuisine très très bonne, et des bières de qualité

브뤼셀외곽지역인데 주말에 말을 가지고 와서 말과 산책하기 좋은 곳있니다. 4인 가족실로 했는데 거실과 이층 침실 거실에는 소파침대와 냉장고, 탁자등이 있습니다 한적하고 깨끗하고 전체적으로 강추입니다 브뤼셀 시내까지는 20분 내외이므로 복잡한 시내보다는 좋을 것 같습니다

Countryside style nearby the city.

A perfect place to stay while getting acquainted with the nearby school and neighborhood. Quiet and charming with a staff that is attentive and personable.

Cosy, warm and friendly b&b outside of Brussels

This B & B is tucked away, about a 10 mins walk from the Groenendaal station. Surrounded by the Sonian Forest. Was a fantastic and comfortable stay and the hosts were just fantastic. On the first day he told us that he had a wedding to attend so to help ourselves to the bar as they won't be there to serve us. It felt like a really warm and trusting environment. If you had your own horses you may also bring them and they stay in the stables at the compound. Really nice atmosphere going on. Relaxed and felt like home away from home. I highly recommend it for little getaway right outside of Brussels.

The perfect get away

This place is just beautyful, located south of Brüssel close to the ring, has only a few but nice and well equipped rooms. This time I got a smaller room, but it has it's own terrace and it's still larger than the average hotel room. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The ring and a train track is close, but this is still quite to relax after a stressful day in Brüssels.

PROS AND CONS OF THIS HOTEL

PROS: Nice location near forest Nice size guest rooms and bathrooms. Free parking and Wifi 20 minute drive to central of Brussels and most nearby attractions. CONS: No air conditioning in guest rooms (none observed) Mosquitos abound, you are in the woods. Somewhat overpriced compared to other hotels in area. Front desk staff not always available, usually only during business hours. Mind the extra guest charge! When booking more than 2 people an extra guest charge is tacked on per night.

Sehr schönes B&B am Wald

Es ist selten, dass ich eine so positive Bewertung abgeben kann. Ich verbringe 2-3 mal jährlich 4 Tage in Brüssel, bzw. Zaventem. Davy ist ein wirklich zuvorkommender Gastgeber, der sich ehrlich um das Wohlbefinden seiner Gäste kümmert. Das B&B ist sehr schön am Wald gelegen, die Junior-Suite bietet eine kleine Terrasse zum Rasen und ist ausreichend gross. Parkplätze am und ums Haus sind zur Genüge vorhanden. Neben dem Frühstücksraum gibt es auch eine Terrasse, auf der man bei schönem Wetter das Frühstück draussen nehmen kann. Sehr nette Restaurants in den benachbarten Ortschaften. Zimmerkomfort : Schön wäre es, wenn die Dusch-Badewanne weniger rutschig und die Zimmertür einfach zuzuziehen wäre, anstatt auch bei kurzen Abwesenheiten immer mit dem Schlüssel abschliessen zu müssen. Umgebung : sehr nahe am RO, der vor allem am Morgen sehr überlastet ist. Auch die Ausfahrt aus dem kleinen Tumulidreef zu Stosszeiten bedarf Geduld oder etwas Drängelvermögen. Alles im allem aber keine Kritikgründe, die den positiven Gesamteindruck gefährden könnten.

A beautiful place surrounded by a forest (10/10)

10/10. If I ever go to Belgium again (which I intend to do), this will be the place to stay. It was hard to find (there is a pedestrian path, but unless you already know where it is, it may be difficult because the station, Groenendaal, has many closed off exits), but all possible regrets while walking there disappeared the moment we arrived. The room was amazing: We were a four person family but there was enough space for six people (3 double beds, two on the second floor in a beautiful attic with a ceiling window). Extremely beautiful and very spacious with a high ceiling. I would love to stay there again. We only stayed there one night, but I wish we could've stayed longer (we had prior plans outside the country). The place allows bicycle and horse renting, and I would've loved to horse-ride. On the walk to Hippo-droom, you pass a small forest. Our family saw a galloping deer in the distance. The owner is also an incredibly friendly guy.
