"Lovely location, room was OK, but had ant infestation in the bathroom which went inside our toiletries which the front staff didn’t seem bothered by. Breakfast was nice, gym was decent and the schnitzel restaurant 5mins walk down the road was fantastic"

"Our room in this hotel was "different" in a mostly positive way. The "Gulliver" room was roomy, very unique in its decorations, cool (a large fan helped) and pleasant to be in. The bathroom was up five steps and imbedded in the rocky side of the hill (hard to describe its uniqueness). All of the usual necessities were there, but positioned a little awkwardly because of the structure of the room. They all functioned well and were just "different." The whole combination was a nice experience. The breakfast was worthy, in a nicely appointed eating area. The hotel does not have a lot of amenities (no fitness area, pool, or spa), but it is well positioned in the town amongst the historic buildings of the old town. The staff were professional and helpful when asked. There is limited parking and it should be requested when making a reservation. It is helpful to have a small car, since the size of the parking spaces will scare most Americans."

"Special hotel right in the heart of Berncastle, rooms are very spacious, lovely bathroom and a fabulous breakfast on the terrace overlooking the Mosel. Staff were attentive and there is on site parking for just 8 Euros a day. Super convenient, out of the door and you are bang in the middle of the beautiful Berncastle. Will be back for sure."

"What a wonderful property- beautiful, clean and good location. Christiana was lovely and welcoming. Our room was large, especially by European standards, with a gorgeous bathroom - very luxurious. The breakfast was beautifully displayed, included many special foods we’ve not encountered at other hotels and was delicious. The plentiful free parking made this stay easy and quite a value. Also - the nearby Zylinderhaus museum is a fun place with an amazing collection and the restaurant was very good."

Meals are simple and satisfying in a relaxed bistro style. The buffet breakfast is fantastic, with a wide variety of fresh options. A wonderful touch is the 24 hour trust station with snacks, drinks, and complimentary water, which makes the stay feel effortless. Step outside to gentle walking paths and open sky that invite you to slow down and reconnect with nature. A simple, beautiful escape. Deutsch Das Berghotel Kristall wirkt vom ersten Moment an beruhigend, eingebettet in eine ruhige Landschaft mit weitem Blick. Die Einrichtung ist warm und durchdacht, mit sanftem Licht, gemütlichen Sitzbereichen und einladenden Rückzugsorten. Große Fenster lassen viel Tageslicht herein und verstärken die entspannte Atmosphäre. Die Mahlzeiten sind einfach und gut, im Bistro-Stil serviert.
