The hotel staff was excellent!
My family stayed at The Westin in club room (2 double beds) for 3 nights from 12/28 to 12/31. The hotel was conveniently located in the heart of Brisbane for sightseeing and shopping. First, the good points. Our flight was delayed, and we had to check in at 3am. However, the front desk staff was very sincere and concerned about my family. The room was new and same as booked. Towels and sheets were clean every day. The staff in the club room and the front desk was always friendly and helpful. When we had a little concern in the club room about coffee, boiled water or food, they approached us and immediately and kindly responded. When I needed something in our room, they brought them very quickly. Next, I will describe the bad points. There was a sand-like substance on the floor, which was not cleaned until the end of the stay. The electricity was suddenly cut off once a night, but it was restored immediately. When we took a shower, we found a small amount of backflow from the drain, which was a little troubling. The hotel staff was excellent, very sincere and helpful. The facilities and cleaning were generally satisfactory.

街中で便利。早めにチェックインさせてくれて助かりました。ラウンジ利用ができる部屋だったので、ティータイムは食べませんでしたがケーキがあったり、夕方のカクテルタイムもあり良かったです。

概ね快適な滞在でした。 リゾートクレジット40ドル付いていたのは嬉しい喜びで、ルームサービスに使いました。 ブリスベンの中でもお洒落目なエリアにあるホテルのようです。 クイーンストリートにも近く周辺に飲食店も多く便利です。 部屋は広めで清潔快適ですが景色は悪いです。 ただ、何というかビジネス街のホテルなのでファミリー旅行向けのホテルではない感じです。 ゆったりゆっくり滞在とか、フレンドリーなスタッフの対応を望むならかけ離れているかもしれません。

The hotel is very clean and fresh. Male staff member at front counter was unfriendly and not helpful. Room was not ready in a timely manner and they could not advise when it may be available, we were turned away 3 times being told to ‘try again later’. One of the reasons we booked the Westin was for its swim up bar however this was closed even though it was advertised as being open all year round.

A very nice stay at Westin, staff offered an upgrade upon arrival. The Settimo restaurant on site is outstanding. Comfortable bed and very clean room. Happy to stay again

Good place to stay however not 5 stars and maybe not worth the price. It would have been nice if they had replaced the tea bags and maybe supplied a free snack as in biscuits. Also free bottle of water were not replaced (I stayed 3 nights) Television was painful to work and no program.

Close to CBD shopping , room always clean, friendly staff happy to assist with all requests. Draw back was pool access too many unsupervised children jumping & screaming in the pool whilst trying to relax. Badly behaved children made this part of the experience less than desirable. Washing machines noisey in early hours when we were trying to sleep

Wonderful
My partner and I stayed in an executive room for the night and really enjoyed our stay. The room was lovely, the bed was huge and bedding was so comfortable. The swim up pool bar was nice (could do with some more seating for busy periods though). We enjoyed the club lounge as an extra perk of our stay. It was perfect for drinks, dinner and breakfast. Not sure what more you could ask for really! Thanks a bunch.

Quality but misses the mark
The concierge staff, front desk and Room Sercive staff were excellent. Our room was very modern with quality appointments and clean. Breakfast in the Club Room was a god send as the main restaurant was noisy and jam full. The swimming pool and swim up bar on a Saturday felt like a Bali club. Over run with noisy kids, every lounge, seat and possible space occupied. It felt way over capacity and the poor staff looked exhausted. We left them to it and exiting the hotel for the afternoon. Sadly, the hotel does not serve cocktails at 9pm because they were expecting to get busy - even though there were 3 behind the bar of which, 1 barman was polishing glasses and the other was cleaning the coffee machine. For a quality hotel chain, this was unexpected and very disappointing. For this reason, I would pick another hotel next time.

The pool was basically unusable. First day told unavailable from 4pm. Second day large group of revelers basically made the pool unusable. Dirty plates and drink glasses everywhere. Roudy and dangerous behavior. Pool rules ignored and no policing.

Overall all good. But checkout is not smooth and breakfast is not as good as 5 stars. The hotel defaults to charge credit card fees via online booking hotel.com . But I said my card is not a credit card so I don’t wanna pay for $16 fees. The staff told me I have to pay again for two night $1000 plus use another card ( saving or cash) then they can release the online booking payment with no fees. Which means I got $1000 plus on hold cannot be released until a few days later. I told her I also need to do other things so I don’t wanna be held for $1000 plus. She ask me which bank I am with. She doesn’t know Australian one of the big four banks name which surprises me. Then she talk to a supervisor who even more ridiculously said she doesn’t control the bank. The supervisor/ manager told the staff she can manually adjust the system and change to No credit card fee charge. And told me that I don’t understand their hotel system. Sounds like customer is stupid and my fault and I don’t understand how online booking works. I told her I stay in many 5 star hotels , and many online booking never charge credit card fees as my card is not credited card even the system default shows is credit. So she know how to manually adjust their system. If the hotel cannot train the staff especially the supervisor or manager how to talk to customer, then they should not work at the front desk and assume customer is stupid and they cannot control the bank. I never ask if she can control the bank.
