Well our water was unusable from the smell, it smelt like there was a rotting corpse in it, the cutlery was completely unusable because it was covered in old oil stains, the carpet is wet and it's making our feet black, I've seen about 50 cockroaches so far, the aircon spits ice at us while it's on, the aircon leaked constantly, we lost power on the last night of our stay so all the food in our fridge went off and we couldn’t charge anything for our long drive home the next day. To put this in the nicest way, staying in hell would be nicer than this place. All the money clearly goes into the pub and pokies without even a thought of the accommodation complaints.

Good Morning, I read your complaint and I just don't understand that if you were not happy with your room why did you not come and see me or the duty manager so we could have moved your group and gave you a total refund once you check-in. I have been here for 23 years and I understand we get complaint's but people come and see me so I can make other options to keep my guest happy. I did refund you partial refund and do my best. Next time you stay at other motel please complaint straight away so they can do something else for you like moving to other room or booking at other place for you. Cheers

Had 2 rooms booked, Rooms 33 and 35. Room 35 the AC wasn't what you would call the greatest. The remainder was ok, except for rediculous positioning of bed in front of wardrobe doors. Now room 33. Disaster area. First off, the light in the bathroom wasn't working. Just fortunate the light from outside was barely enough to see what you were doing while in the bathroom. Whoever designed the bathroom needs to be put up against the wall and shot. The positioning of the toilet hard up against a wall was bad enough, but then they decide to try and fit the toilet roll holder on that wall as well, thus having to virtually sit on the toilet roll while doing your business, then trying to get to the paper when finished......... absolutely stupid planning, or lack of planning more like it. Now, the shower recess. I am not a huge person, but really, felt like I was climbing into coffin to have a show. No room what so ever. Plumbing for shower also pathetic. Oh, and who ever had the bright idea to position a bed in front of wardrobe doors deserves a medal for stupidity. Finish off with broken door of freezer section of fridge just tossed up into the back of the freezer, out of sight, out of mind I guess. Not Impressed

Thank you for your comments and I will take this on board with the bed arrangements. I have recent came back from oversea and they shower in Italy, Spanish and Portugal were tiny. You are my first complaint about the shower size and I have a lot of huge truck drivers take here on a regular basic and no complaints from.Thanks and have a great day

Location is very nice and the bar has excellent all day dining options - food was very nice 👍 Staff was friendly and let us do the late check out. Beds were comfortable and plenty of parking available. Lots of shops, restaurants, car wash within walking distance. Room had everything you could need like tea coffee facilities, microwave, fridge. Only the carpets are very old and needs changing.

The property definitely needs upgrades. The rooms were dirty, cold . We booked 2 nights couldn't survive for one night.

This property was filthy with broken beds sloppy old mattresses with broken frame and springs poking through the other bed was so old that when 2 people slept in it they rolled into the centre. cigarette butts had been put in kettle no after hours manager could be contacted and the adjoining rooms had people partying very loudly with swearing and breaking bottles till 3am and we felt unsafe to say anything to them and when we tried to contact management there was no answer. We tried to call the police and after 30 minutes on hold were told to report concerns online. We got no sleep and had to leave at 6am for our flight home. I want a refund as it was a horrifically traumatising night.

The photos don’t look anything like what’s on Wotif. Our room had a broken window and was dirty and damp. Managements excuse was that I booked the wrong room that’s why I had a bad experience. I booked a family room for 2 people, unsure why this mattered but they were quite upset about it at Check-in. Made sure I was ‘aware’ that I had booked a family room. Do not recommend.

One to avoid if you can
Budget hotel which wasn’t clean. Lots of bugs in the room, walls dirty, carpet was disgusting. Had all the normal facilities but it is a rundown place needing a lick of paint and maintenance. Wouldn’t stay again nor recommend.

Great for parking with trailer and late check in was easy. However we killed three cockroaches in our room on arrival and the cutlery was dirty. The blankets were stained and rough to touch. Many things needed updating.

The staff are great, they do their best with what they have. The pokies are open till 4am the bar shuts at 2am which needs to be written everywhere, the hot water lasts 1 shower, the beds are horrible, the window blinds broken so the sun comes in as soon as it rises and the music keeps playing on the poud speaker's all.night. staff great rest rubbish

A true guilty pleasure...
Having stayed at many a 4 star, I have to confess I keep coming back to Acacia Ridge Hotel Motel. In an industrial/ residential area it is popular with truckies and travelling tradies. From the outside the motel it looks very drab, but I have found the rooms spacious, clean and with nice deep wood furnishings and professionally laundered sheets and towels. It's how the truckies like it - good split system air-con, a cold fridge and a high pressure hot shower as well as acres of parking. You can always get a park outside your door! Not to mention the convenience of the on-site bistro and bar which offers lunch and dinner ($10 lunch specials). As a 53 yo woman I find an interest in the cultural learnings of truckies culture which include a free (by donation) Friday afternoon sausage sizzle which used to include a bikini girl walking around and taking drinks orders, though I'm not sure if Covid has put the kybosh on the bikini girl right now. I feel safe there because truckies and tradies are reliable and hard-working people who'd come to your aid and are early to bed, early to rise.

So its not the Grand Riad, but then its not $30K a night either. Depending on what room you are in you might get some noise from Beaudesert Road or the on-site bistro. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the staff friendly and helpful. If you want a place to sleep for a few days while you are out and about then it is very good value for money and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
