First, I just want to say that I base my stays on other reviews and I want my review to reflect this property honestly so that others may have a fair expectation.
Pros: The communication with Scott and April (The property managers) was excellent! They were quick to respond and professional.
The location is absolutely stunning! To wake up to a view like that is incredible!
The tile work in the master bathroom is genuinely exquisite! I wish my bathroom at my house had this kind of detail.
The furniture in general, while a little beat up, gave the location a rustic charm.
The fireplace (once I evened the insert out) was a nice addition. I only started it for a minute to get the ambiance of it, but in the fall/winter time the fireplace would be AWESOME!
Cons: The lock code we received initially didn't work. It did take some time to get that figured out. Scott and April were able to get us a new lock code that worked pretty quickly, but this was our initial introduction to the property and it was not welcoming.
The condo was DIRTY! It definitely needs a deep clean. There are dust bunnies under every piece of furniture. There are wires and garbage under the furniture holding the TVs. For a condo that asks guests to remove their shoes you expect it to be clean. It was not. The stairwells were exceptionally dirty, looked like they had not been vacuumed in a long while, and look like they could be featured on a horror movie.
The condo below ours was staff for the location. They had invited friends and were very noisy well into the night. Some of them were out on the balcony just below the condo smoking marijuana. Thank goodness for the vent fan! The smell permeated the condo and left it smelling of marijuana for a couple of hours.
I went to check on my son, who was using the workout room, on Saturday night. The lobby was full of younger people drinking, making out, playing loud music, and partying. I get it, it's a resort town, but if I were the owner of this property I would be looking for a new staff.
The staff get paid exceptionally well. I received a notice saying that the cleaners get (enter amount here) an hour so if I was unable to leave the property before checkout time I needed to make arrangements with the property manager. Understandable, but point-of-fact - I am a professional on salary and I don't make $-an-hour! It is by choice, but if I am paying a hefty cleaning fee, the condo needs to be CLEAN!!!
