This luxurious mountain cabin is nestled in a hardwood cove surrounded by a babbling brook, blooming rhododendron, and landscaped with native plants. The cabin is tastefully furnished with mission-style antiques and has a wood-burning, fieldstone fireplace, and all of the amenities of a home away from home. It`s on a 66 acre former summer camp with a pond, walking trails, and fields for the pups to run around. 15 minutes to downtown Brevard, and minutes from amazing hiking and many summer camps.

Lovely Get Away

A very lovely stay on beautiful property. Our family met here from SC, Texas, and Oklahoma to spend our grandson’s first birthday/Easter, and it was absolutely wonderful. Even our dog’s shoulders seemed to relax in the peaceful nature. We appreciated the extra touches like dog bowls, dog bed, pack and play, and virtually any kitchen item you might desire. For the nights we didn’t cook, the list of recommendations was very helpful, and we absolutely loved The Square Root. Top notch service and food. The home was clean, spacious, serene, and they update regularly as well as check to be sure everything is ok. While we were there, a covered swing was delivered for the pond, which we enjoyed fishing in multiple times. It is just a short walk down the driveway. One thing important to note that once you get on property, following the posted signs will get you to the correct house, as our GPS took us to the other house on site, and that was unfortunate but easily fixed by their clearly marked signage. We definitely would stay here again, and everyone in our group from the toddler to the college student to the young family, as well as my husband and I had an amazing time. We are very grateful for this getaway, and hope to return soon!

Awesome Home and amazing area

Our family of six had an incredible stay at this cabin! It was spacious, comfortable, and in pristine condition—everything felt fresh and well-maintained. The location was perfect, nestled in a super cool area with tons of outdoor activities just a short drive away. Whether we were exploring nearby trails, enjoying the scenery, or just relaxing at the cabin, it was the perfect getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cozy, adventure-filled escape!

Dream property for families

This property exceeded my expectations in every way! The grounds alone are amazing, and the cabin was so neat and clean and cozy. The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were super comfortable, the whole cabin is just very homey. All of us enjoyed fishing in the stocked trout pond, and hanging out in the shop by the pond. The owner, David, is so friendly and helpful and communicative. He also provided a detailed guest guide to Brevard and the surrounding areas, which we found very useful. I can’t wait to book this property again! 10/10!

Mountain Retreat

Peaceful Retreat

Location of cabin excellent just right off the main highway, which makes it very easy access to downtown Brevard. The fishing was great! Only negative, not handicap or physically impaired easy. A lot of steps.

Paradise in the mountains

I have stayed in the area several times during the summer and I like it cool at night. Typically rentals in the area have inadequate AC. Tim's place had excellent AQC and even a bottle of wine left out for us :) The dogs loved playing at the pond and running around the property. We brought a couple of motorcycles and had a great time exploring the area. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with friends and family over a nice bond fire which we had every night. Already trying to plan a return visit.

Summer stay

We had a great stay at this wonderful property. The house was very spacious for the four of us, very clean, and stocked with everything you will need. Communication with David was excellent. The coffee maker shorted out and he had it replaced immediately. Plenty of acreage to wonder around and the ponds were nice- just a few trout in the pond but it was fun going after them. I’m sure we will be back!

Secluded mountain home perfect for our family get away

We are a busy family with three teen boys so we were looking for a get away to reconnect as a family and slow down a bit. This home was perfect! It is secluded enough for major relaxation but close enough to town to enjoy local restaurants. We fished, sat on the deck, enjoyed smores on an outdoor fire pit and explored the trails around the property. We also took the owner’s advice and hiked Rainbow Falls. Amazing! The home was clean and comfortable. It was also stocked with normal household items such as spices, coffee filters, laundry detergent so it was easy to feel right at home. David was also very responsive and kind. As we were leaving my boys said “10 out of 10, we want to come back!” We will definitely be back!

Love this house, property and location!

This is our third time staying at this property and first time in this house. We absolutely love everything about it so that is why we keep coming back! The house is in such a beautiful setting amongst the trees. Spacious house and super comfortable. The house and the property have everything one would need and then some! We brought our dog with us and she loved the large property for exploring and the pond. There is good hiking right on the property and we enjoyed doing a little fishing in the pond. We love the location of the house and we love the area. There are many waterfalls to see and Gorges State Park is right close by. Brevard is only about 15 minutes away and also close by is Sapphire and Cashiers. There is a small grocery store about 5 minutes away and a big one about 15 minutes away. Contact with the homeowner is always easy and he is quick to respond. He gives you so much information about the area, things to see and do and restaurants in the area. This will always be our go to place to stay when we get back to the area again! I highly recommend this house!

Quiet, clean mountain house

Our family of four, and small dog, stayed at this property for two nights over spring break. It was incredibly clean and well-stocked. The property is nice and quiet, and surrounded by natural beauty. 12-15 minutes south of downtown Brevard, and easy to find. Would highly recommend.

Perfect

I stayed here with my pup for a long weekend and it was absolutely what I needed. The house is privately located and near a lot of trails that I like to hike. David is a complete pro. Very accommodating, very easy to deal with and very quick to respond to any and all questions. The house and property are just as beautiful as described and as seen in the pictures. I don’t know what else to say except that I cant wait to stay here again. Cheers!!
