Charming and clean with helpful people who checked in before we got there to get to make sure we knew how things worked with checking in and keys and such. It’s dated, but it appears as if they’ve renovated and cleaned things up to look and feel beautiful as well and be functional.

This was my second stay at The Latchis, and once again it was a great experience. The hotel is clean, the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming, and the location is incredibly convenient—especially for those of us coming up from New York on Amtrak. One of my favorite things about staying here is the building itself. The Latchis has so much character and history, and it's a refreshing change from a typical chain hotel. It adds something special to the whole experience. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Brattleboro!

Great location downtown near good restaurants. The hotel is old and full of character and history. Microwave, good shower, many cable TV channels, refrigerator, elevator- all in good order. With a cinema and restaurant in the lobby. We watched a movie (The Sheep Detectives).

This truly a gem! One of two remaining historic hotels in Detroit, everything about this hotel was something special. The room was spacious and creatively decorated with a large selection of LP's in the hallway. This also included a record player. The queen size beds were extremely comfortable. The fact that this hotel was walking distance from a diverse restaurant and entertainment options. This was especially true for me, the Vegan. Mykayla was extremely friendly and resourceful. Bypass all the others and head to the Lacish Hotel, you will not be disappointed.

Parking was convenient if you can grab a spot (it is first come) everything I wanted to do during my stay was in walking distance from property so that was nice! Adding on the $30 value that gets you $25 applied to local restaurants near by and $5 includes a movie theatre ticket and a large popcorn + large drink! Truly a no brainer to add on to your stay.

I loved staying here- it has personality and style. It is the opposite of grey or beige corporate- grateful ownership didn't try to do that to this treasure. Front desk has the welcome down to science. The theater is just beautiful. The bar next door is fantastic- cocktails an tapas. Centrally located- just a big fan. My only complaint was that it was a super hot couple of days and my room was quite warm. The fan was def a good thing to have. There is no way for anyone to adjust that so I can't fault anyone really, but ownership will maybe consider mini-splits in the future. :)

The hotel is charming. The location is great. The building is funky, given it's age and need for repair. The staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The theater located in the same building is a one of a kind attraction. It was a plus for us that the hotel is owned and run by a nonprofit.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. It snowed overnight and staff had brushed the snow off our car for us which was nice. There is quite a bit of street noise due to the old windows not being well insulated so bring some ear plugs if you want quiet.
