Our reservation was messed up and we were scheduled for the following week instead of the week that my confirmation stated. I'm not necessarily blaming Stormy Point for this, as we booked through VRBO, not knowing we were booking with a timeshare community. This was very misleading. After a couple hours of extreme stress, the staff were able to get us a house. The staff did try to make it right by giving us quite a bit in meal coupons to their restaurant (we had breakfast there a couple mornings and it was awful). In order to get our parking passes, we were then taken over to a lady that began to ask us what we had spent on our vacation - the timeshare speech commenced. Let me say this again: our parking passes were held hostage until we talked to the timeshare lady! I just politely stopped the lady and told her we weren't interested. We were tired from driving 6 hours and then a couple hours trying to straighten out our reservations. The houses are nice and cute. We booked for 8 people, but there certainly wasn't sitting room in the living room area for 8 people. There was a sofa that would seat 3 and a chair for 1 person. Maybe they can fix that. I did have to go to Walmart and buy a Swiffer mop because the floors were filthy. My grandchildren immediately take off their shoes anytime they go inside and within 20 minutes at this house, their feet were black. I mopped the floors on both levels.
