The property was clean, and overall, a very nice place to stay. The location was perfect for me. Right in the center of the beautiful town of Branford, CT. This is my hometown, so getting up in the morning and strolling through town brought me back.
My rating of 5 stars might be a 4 for some, because
the house is older, and therefore: the stairway (two flights) is narrow; the rooms are small; room A/C units, not central. Also, the bed is very firm (some prefer this). Bathroom is clean and water pressure is good.
Access to the property is easy (just read the clear directions). There is a kitchenette and a coffee maker with coffee available (Dunkin' Donuts, I believe). Stop over at Caron's Corner to get some cream and sugar if that's your preference.
Being in this part of town is like going back in time. If you've never been to Branford, this an especially great place to stay. The old cathedrals and enormous canopy trees on the Green and around the Blackstone Library make for a very relaxing walk. Stop by Common Grounds for a coffee and biscotti if you like those sorts of things.
In summary, I loved it, but do check my (minor) caveats above to make sure it's the right place for you.
