About this property

Cabin on the River

  • Beautiful scenic cabin with a 7 person hot tub located on 100+ acres on the Blue River. This cabin can sleep up to 8 (with additional child accommodations) and is less than 15 minutes from the Choctaw Casino and 20 minutes from Lake Texoma. The cabin is a 3/2 and includes a King bed in the Master Bedroom, a Queen bed in the 2nd bedroom and two sets of bunk beds in the 3rd bedroom. The open living/kitchen area features large windows with breath taking views along with a cozy fireplace for those cold day/nights. There are two full bathrooms. The laundry room offers a full-size washer and dryer for your convenience. STARLINK internet access! There are two ponds located on the property as well as access to the Blue River for fishing and Kayaking (three Kayaks are available for use on premises). The ponds are catch and release (fishing license required). There is a large firepit located in front of the cabin, a horseshoe pit, basketball goal, corn hole game along with an outdoor charcoal grill. With beautiful scenery and tons of wildlife to view, this very private and relaxing place close to the Choctaw Casino (restaurants and entertainment) offers fishing, hiking, kayaking, peace, quiet and a big dose of nature! Very nice cabin with lots to do. A perfect getaway for the family. We fished, hiked, kayaked, charcoaled some steaks, played horseshoes, relaxed in the hot tub, and sat around the fire pit. I wish we could have stayed longer!

This place is great. It is as described, bedrooms and bathrooms. Absolutely, love the quietness and view from the porch. All outdoor activities and seating also great. I would recommend staying here and would stay again.

Perfect for the family

Cabin on the River was our first non- hotel rental and it more than exceeded expectations. The open space was perfect for outdoor play for the littles and the bigger kids enjoyed fishing. The fire pit is great for s’mores and the fireplace took the morning chill off amazingly. We are already planning our next trip back !

RELAXING GETAWAY

The Cabin on The River is the perfect escape, just a short drive from our Dallas home, making it ideal for a quick weekend getaway to unwind and reconnect with nature. We brought our grandkids along, and they had an absolute blast! The cabin is cozy, and the surrounding land offers plenty of space to explore, with a beautiful pond, river, and lots of outdoor activities. The kids had so much fun with the basketball hoop, tire swing, and kayaking on the river. It’s the perfect spot for family fun and relaxation!

Excellent stay away from the City

The property was a great retreat from the city, with family and kids. Plenty of activities: camp fire, hot tub, basketball, tire swing, fishing, kayaking, hiking, exploring, playing with the dog outside, etc. The owner was very professional and accommodating. Wow! What an outstanding property. Loved the 'fancy rustic' decor. The complimentary bottle of wine was a nice touch as well as the makings for s'mores. Since it was December when were were there, the fire pit was a warm & cozy place to relax after a full day of exploring the area. Wish we lived closer!!!!

Quiet and Peaceful

Family of 5 stayed here for a few days and we absolutely loved it!! Very peaceful and quiet, only thing we could hear were cows mooing, coyotes howling and the crickets chirping! Lol. Loved that they supplied us with a bottle of wine and a tray of s’mores! Kids thoroughly loved the hot tub! We went to a little exotic animal park called Pawsitively Wild Animal Encounters and had an amazing time there. Definitely worth every penny. We will definitely stay here again our next time we are down that way!

Great getaway if you value privacy

Very pleased with our stay overall. It was very secluded with lots of outdoor games and activities, stars at night were amazing. The only negative was asking ahead of time if we needed anything to operate the grill, were told there was charcoal provided, but it was an almost empty bag. Not enough to cook anything. Also was described as a gas grill on online listing. Extra 30-40 mins of driving to and from store was pretty disappointing. Still had a great time

Beautiful Outdoor Getaway

I can't say enough about this property and our time there. We met up with some friends to catch up, and most importantly unplug from the grind of daily life in the metroplex, and connect back with nature. The cabin on the river was exactly what we needed. The large and manicured 100 acre field is where we spent most of our time, together or alone. The birds and wildlife were abundant, and everything was exactly as I imagined when looking at the pictures of the property. The house itself is beautifully decorated with all of the amenities one would need to be comfortable and stay entertained. The house had board games, playing cards, horseshoes, a basketball hoop and I'm sure a lot of other activities available that I just didn't see because we spent our entire time enjoying nature. There was charcoal for the grill and plenty of wood for the fire pit.Equal to everything the property had to offer, communication during the entire process was very responsive, thoughtful, and professional. We will definitely be visiting again.
