To start with the positives: the apartment is located on the bottom floor at the back of the building. In a bustling city like Bogotá, this makes it incredibly quiet and absolutely perfect for getting a good night's sleep. I spent most of my time resting, which was great, but actually trying to use the amenities was a different story. The apartment was clearly renovated at some point, but the work was poorly done and it is severely lacking in basic maintenance. The jacuzzi only fills with scalding hot water, so it is unusable immediately; we had to wait a few hours for it to cool down enough to get in. If you turn on the fireplace, it makes the jacuzzi room overwhelmingly hot. To top it off, the projector is completely out of focus and unusable, alongside a number of other minor maintenance issues. The tipping point was on the morning of checkout. I pulled open the unsealed utensil drawer, and the front panel broke off entirely, landing heavily on my foot and leaving a very painful, nasty bruise. Needing a moment to regain my composure and finish packing, I messaged the host with a photo of the broken drawer. Instead of showing an ounce of sympathy or offering a simple apology, they falsely accused me of trying to open a sealed drawer and bluntly told me to get out ASAP because the cleaners were waiting. It is abundantly clear that these hosts are only interested in maximizing profits. They do not care about maintaining the property, or service. The price isn't judt
