Contacted host before arriving to Colombia for check-in instructions. Upon arrival, was not able to contact host. Contacted Vrbo; they were not able to contact host either.
Vrbo offered me a hotel the next day and stated they would refund my costs.
I have now arrived at my next Vrbo destination.
The red carpet has been rolled out.
Hopefully my first experience is an isolated incident.
