The house was beautiful and perfect for our stay. We struggled with the internet and TV going in and out. We tried to watch a movie as a family and it would go out and in a lot. We also cooked a lot while we were there and struggled because we were missing some stuff such as pot holders. Overall the house was amazing though!

Great place to stay in Blue Ridge. It’s not hard to get to and close enough to get to most things within 30 minutes. Very clean and beautifully decorated! We saw deer, a rabbit, geese and trout in the river!

We loved the area and location to the river. The house was a great set up for 2 families! The access to the river was not as pictured. It was a mud pit to where it was difficult to walk in on one side and the other side had grass as tall as my 7 yr old. One of the main reasons we booked this home was because of the pictures that showed a very well manicured grassy area to fish and access the river. I did call the property management company and they were responsive, the grass was cut down and some rocks were placed over the mud. It was better but there needs to be a lot of work done in that area to represent the pictures or the pictures need to be taken off. The hot tub was a great addition and the kids loved the bunk area.

Perfect Family Vacation

The house is beautiful, and the location on the river added so much to our stay. We found it very clean when we arrived and appreciated the welcoming touches of towels on the beds and toiletries in the bathrooms. There was something for everyone...fishing, kayaking, relaxing. The kids loved the bunk beds and the hot tub. Once we learned the schedule of water release from the dam we knew when to play in the river and when to float down on kayaks. We even got grandma in the inflatable boat for a ride in the river. Beautiful views from the porches, with relaxing sounds both day and night. We heard whippoorwills and saw lightning bugs. Also saw lots of wildlife...deer, bears, groundhogs, otters, ducks with ducklings, rabbits. The kids didn't want to leave!

My family and I loved staying at this cabin! The cabin was great for all the ages that came with us. The scenery was beautiful! You can see everything from the top of the porch. The drive was not bad at all. It took less than 10 minutes to get to downtown Blue Ridge. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and will most definitely stay here again.

Lots of Potential but Needs TLC!

I thought hard of what to say, because I want to be fair. The property wasn't what we hoped and we were disappointed on our arrival. The listing photos must be old because what we found was a home in need of serious TLC. Dirty and worn, soiled furniture, stained floors, washed out driveway, broken flag on the ground, garbage in the yard around the decks (the decks were a mess), filthy grill with shredded grill cover, overall poor cleanliness, clothing from past guests in dressers, old candy in the bunk beds, the outside is infested with carpenter bees, and on the inside no thoughtful touches of home or welcome. For example, my wife picked some beautiful wildflowers in the front yard and put them in a vase on the dining room table to liven up the cabin. Something for them to think about because there was no natural connection to the area or even to local vendors. However, management was very responsive when we called and kept the lines of communication open throughout our stay. They were apologetic and wanted to make us happy, a second cleaning inside/out, an exterminator the next morning, a pressure cleaning for the lower deck, refunding a night's stay. We appreciated their efforts and kindness. So, though things started out rough, we ended up having a nice stay after all and made some happy memories. Blue Ridge is a beautiful area with a great downtown for dining and shopping. I hope this review helps them with this particular listing because the potential is there!

We had an amazing time in Blue Ridge. The house was perfect. We’re not able to play in the water watch because they kept opening the dam. It would be really low in the morning but then high in the afternoon when they wanted to go in there but we were able to find other places to play in creeks, etc.

Best Friends Getaway

We rented this house for a final weekend with best friends before the girls move away to college. It was the perfect place. We relaxed and enjpyed family and friend time, floated down the water, made fires, and played games. It was just what we needed to prepare for this next season in our lives.

Lovely spot for a getaway

This is a great property. You can be together but there are separate spaces as well. The downstairs area was great and was the separate bedroom down there. Nice big yard which we didn't get to use as much as we were hoping due to wet weather. We did enjoy the firepit though. My husband and son fished but were hindered by the TVA water release so keep that in mind if you plan to fish or use the river. One thing to note as well, the steps down to the yard are stone, are uneven and can get slippery. Lighting at night is not good. This was an issue for older people in our group. The proximity to Blue Ridge was great. It made it really easy to run to town if we needed something. It was much more accessible than some places we have stayed. Blue Ridge is a great little town and this is a good choice if you are staying in the area.

Great location

Overall the location is excellent, quiet, and not far from shopping, downtown, and activities. The property is a good size with comfort space for large groups. The only downside was that the cleanliness/maintenance leaves something to be desired. Understanding the property is large, personally I would want to see more focus on cleaning the showers and floors and being wood floors, it would be nice if there was a broom or something similar available to help keep tidy during your stay. Overall, I would consider staying again. Communication from the property management was detailed and informative.

Beautiful Spot on the River

We had a great family trip to Toccoa Sunnyside. The guys could walk out to fish when the water slowed down from the dam generating. We loved hanging by the fire pit and driving into town. It’s definitely a keeper.

The property is incredible. The yard for us was the selling factor. Being in the mountains and having a yard isn’t very common. The River was beautiful everyone did a cold plunge and had some great laughs. Would recommend staying here to anyone!

Engagement perfection

I surprised my girlfriend (now fiancée) with a trip to this wonderful home. The owner kept a perfect secret and let my parents and her parents sneak up there and set up early. This property will definitely be in my memories for the rest of my life and we will be back!
